Sail Date: Dec 2016
Cabin: Mini Suite with Balcony and Bath/Shower

This was our first cruise and we were not disappointed. We booked a mini suite and well worth it for the extra space and little extras (spa bath, toiletries, champagne and canopies) a big balcony - constant hot water - a very comfortable suite. Yes probably 70% of the guests were over 70 but that didn't spoil the atmosphere. The food was superb and constant - we were glad we opted for freedom dining as you got to sit with different people each night - we made new friends. The service was 1st class everything ran like clockwork - the staff were all very polite and helpful, the Captain kept us constantly up to date as unfortunately we had to sail through Storm Barabara and yes it was rough for 24 hours but the crew made everyone feel as comfortable as possible. Sadly never got to use the spa or pool but the gym was great. All the bars had comfy seating - all waiter service. Christmas Day was lovely and an amazing dinner with lots of extras. The afternoon tea in the Meridian was superb and fine dining well wouldn't recommend the Ocean Grill nothing special compared to the Meridian BUT the Sindhu oh my goodness what a treat. The ambience, decor and well the food was outstanding, best Indian food we have ever tasted. Went on a couple of trips and enjoyed having a tour guide so you get all the history. Was lovely being able to dress up for dinner but if you didn't want to you could eat in the buffet restaurant which also served good quality food. The entertainment teams and casino staff worked hard and we had lots of fun - all in all a great time with easy embarking and disembarking

Cabin Review

Mini Suite with Balcony and Bath/Shower

Cabin BD

Very spacious, comfy bed, lots of storage space, great jacuzzi bath and separate shower with constant hot water. Canopies every Eve and a lovely big balcony. Only downside - which I think all rooms have - is the constant noise from the air con but we did get use to it. Cabin Steward was lovely, so helpful, kept our suite really clean.

Port Reviews

Gothenburg

Quick bus trip to town - not a great deal to see

Amsterdam

Sadly as we experienced storm Barbara we were unable to dock at Amsterdam but our alteranative port was Le Havre and we took the bus in and walked back and was an enjoyable morning
