My husband and I traveled on the Magic with his two sisters and their husbands. We chose this cruise because one of the ports of call is Belize. Just being able to spend quality time with family made this cruise memorable. The ports of call were Costa Maya, Roatan, Belize and Cozumel. My favorite was Roatan only because we went on the Pirate and Birds excursion. This is a natural habitat for iguanas, birds and monkeys. We were able to interact with the birds and monkeys which made for great photos. In Belize we went to the Belize Zoo. It is less expensive to take this excursion from one of the many bus companies at the port. It is a long ride but I found the zoo to be very interesting with different types of animals. In Costa Maya you have to go see the gentleman who crafts beautiful paintings with spray paint. I watched him for about 30 minutes created a breathe taking picture which I wanted to purchase, however someone jumped ahead of me.
The ship is big and is updated, however some of the guests on this cruise had no concept of being tidy. I say many bottles, glasses and clothing just laying about the ship. The food and wait staff were awesome. We had anytime dining in the Northern Lights and our head waitress was Minnie. She was attentive and had a great sense of humor. I had a massage on the last day and it was wonderful, I highly recommend getting the hot stone massage. We only saw two comedy shows as the venue is small and you had to line up an hour in advance to get into the show, The Red Frog Pub is nice place to go for a drink and there is space with booths if you want a more a quiet atmosphere. The shows were good and our favorite was Love and Marriage. The Cruise Director Schwartz was on point and had good energy, Love You! I would definitely take this cruise again.
We had a balcony room 9243 and it was spacious, clean and comfortable. No problem with storage and our steward Kelvin was attentive.
Went to Margaritaville, fun place
Loved walking around the Port lots of shops.
A short wait to get on the ship, but all went well.
