Sail Date: Feb 2017
Cabin: Ocean View

We chose the cruise because it fit our time frame and the port is easily accessed from Houston Hobby. Getting on board was a piece of cake with the staggered system in use. Our cabin was ready except for the Gold membership items which came later that evening. The ship is in fair condition now, but scheduled for renovations sometime in April. On deck two there is always an odor on the even cabin number side - sewage. There is a laundry self service on the odd cabin side for convenience. The dining was acceptable and Sea Day brunch was consistently good. If you like Indian food or haven't tried it and are open, try the Tandoor on Deck 10 Aft. Bonsai Sushi was awesome; we ate the three times. The Saki is a great deal at $12 for 750 ml. I won't recommend the noodle salad as the noodles were fettuccine rather than Asian noodles. Service on the ship and attitudes were average if not below. I most likely won't sail Carnival again.

Cabin Review

Ocean View

Cabin 6A

This is an ocean view cabin directly over the props. If you like a constant vibration this cabin is for you!

Port Reviews

Galveston

If you get in early check out Fishermans Wharf. They have have fantastic Calamari and Grouper Fingers on Happy Hour which started at 11 AM.

Belize City

The port area has the usual places. Taking the tender over is easy and if you don't have an excursion, wait until about 10 AM and there isn't a line to get on. If you want to get your Passport stamped there is a small kiosk by the back gate.

Cozumel

There is a Senor Frogs and several other restaurants right a the pier. Prices on the ship were better for duty free items. Several places in the port have steps leading to the ocean if you want to pack a towel and relax.
