Upon booking this cruise around November last year we were not made aware this would be what they called a "CPC" or college party cruise. This was my husbands first cruise experience and my 44th birthday celebration. Had we been told this cruise would be full of college kids we would have booked another week instead! We spent a lot of money between flights, hotels, and the aft facing balcony for the poor experience we had. I have cruised with Carnival and Holland and had wonderful experiences but this was terrible.
Normally the food on cruises is excellent but the food served on this cruise was awful. We ordered strip steaks the first night that were like cardboard. A couple nights later my husband ordered the prime rib, it was the same awful steak we received the first night. Waiting in line for drinks was ridiculous! My husband and I are in our 40's and to wait 20 minutes behind a bunch of drunk college kids and be told we can only get 1 drink at a time angered both of us.
Trying to get a seat for a show was impossible and if you did get one, the college students would stand in front of you so you were unable to see anything anyway. We had pictures taken the second evening of the cruise and were unable to see them because the printer was down the entire time. The only good service we received was our room steward and a few waiters at dinner. Bartenders were rude, but I can understand why due to the college students constantly around the bar begging for strong drinks.
Beautiful beaches and water!
Decent area but pricey.
Not very clean. Unlikely to return.
Walked through town to Junkanoo beach. Lots of shopping if your into that.
