We chose Celebrity because their date and destination worked for us. It turned out we enjoyed all the port of calls. The ship was fantastic and the crew were all nice. The food was good too. I thought all the meals they were going to serve were coming from the US. Actually, they served local meals when we were in Italy, Turkey and Greece. The entertainment was fantastic. We didn't have any bad experience with the crew. We had enough time to explore each place. We did the tours in each port of call by ourselves. We did Santorini on our own. Mykonos was close to the port and so was Rhodes. In Turkey, we took a tour to Ephesus using their local guide. We didn't use any of Celebrity's tour excursions because they were expensive. I researched the sites for each port by using Rick Steves' books which were very helpful. I also got tips from Trip Advisor and Cruise Critic. It was a fantastic cruise, that's why we are going on another cruise soon. This time with Princess.
