This was only my 4th cruise, 2 were in the Mediterranean and 2 in Gulf waters, and we thought this probably one of the better decorated ships, and the cruise staff was one of the friendliest. However, the best part of the cruise was the master entertainer, cruise director Reverend Dr. E. He had the best crowd karaoke and dancing parties we've seen yet in the beautiful multi-balcony atrium.

The main disappointment we had was with our forward cabin, 6215. 3 of our 7 nights had rough seas, and every large wave that crashed in to the bow created a disturbing vibration through the entire room. It almost seemed like we were in a flat bottom boat cresting over waves and slamming down on the water. Really it was surprisingly jarring for a large cruise ship in what were probably 5-7 foot swells.

I now suspect that this is a common problem as we had called maintenance on the 1st day, before any rough waters, and had them tighten the loose screws we found in the room. Two cabinet hinges had come out of the wall, the bunk bed ladder had 2 screws that were nearly out and two others were loose, and the bunk railing had to be tightened up as well.

So, if you aren't used to the noises that come with some rough boat rides, this may not be the cabin for you.

Port Reviews

Cozumel

We ended up a Playa Mia after Mr. Sanchos was booked and would only allow you in with reservations. However, we all had a great time on the water obstacles.

Belize City

We did the wonderful reef excursion to a remote sandy island that was amazing.
