I chose this cruise because we wanted an Easter based holiday and we only had to take 3 days off work to cruise for a week. Nice. We had sailed Solstice before so we knew the ship was very nice, and we chose Aqua class because at the time of booking it was a serious bargain. We also got 2 perks - classic drinks packages and tips covered in the price of the ticket. Great value and very impressed with Celebrity offering these perks.

Embarkation and disembarkation in Sydney was great - we embarked early and that worked very well and disembarkation - we took our own bags and we'll be doing that again - so much easier than the usual way. But all these processes worked very well on this cruise - getting off the ship at Noumea was also amazingly simple and easy. In this regard, this was the best cruise I've been on - a huge improvement on my last Solstice experience.

The cruise was great - very relaxing, seas not too big, passengers seemed generally happier than last time we sailed Solstice, and the ship was still lovely and clean and basically a great city to sail in.

Cabin Review

AquaClass 2

Cabin A2

Nice cabin but being on deck 11, there was some noise from above at times. Weird thumping. There was one night I even had trouble sleeping and I usually sleep like a baby on cruise ships. Never worked out what it was - the area above us should have been empty at night. It wasn't terrible or anything, but I really prefer to be a deck lower. Other than this it was a lovely cabin - nothing wrong with the cabin itself.
