First time on QM2...Arrived Dubai by air and spent 3 nights in JW Marriott (outstanding hotel)and had an "evening with Katherine Jenkins" which was excellent...did several private tours within Dubai...very good value. Overall impression of Dubai was Very good and would go again for a holiday.
Boarding QM2 was not good and waited for over 6hrs for our luggage to come to our stateroom. As we were in the Queens stateroom on deck10, unable to attend our first lunch as we had no change of cloths.....shorts not accepted for lunch.
Went ashore (privately) in Muscut. The trip round Yemen into Red sea was uneventful, thank goodness, although QM2 was well prepared....
Queen's stateroom on Deck 10 (Port side)..Excellent choice. Big and airy. Large bathroom, No need for a bath....would have preferred a 'walkin ' shower instead.
Balcony huge and great for sunbathing....The Butler service was also excellent. We recommend this level of travel.
