This was my first cruise, so a mini trip from Newport to Dublin to Liverpool seemed like a great way to test the waters. I was worried I might get seasick (you don't know until you try) but despite two rough nights at sea, I was fine.

However, despite the ship itself being beautiful, spacious and clean (with the exception of the mugs, glasses and cutlery), the food and the service left a lot to be desired.

On the first day we boarded, some passengers were left behind due to a late coach. Seeing as though the ship left Newport and ended up in Liverpool, they were running a coach service from one port to another. Despite us booking this, the day after we paid we were told it was full, that was that, there was no offer of help sorting something else, no offer of a partial refund, nothing, leaving us to fund out own 5 hour trip to Newport, which was expensive, difficult and stressful last minute. Thank God we were not on that coach though, because the passengers on the late coach had to get on the ship from a smaller boat, as we hovered just off the coast of Wales. I would have been petrified if that were me.
