My husband and I chose this cruise as we had always wanted to see Alaska and the glaciers there and we were not disappointed with the scenery and beauty we saw.
For this cruise we chose the mini suite option for our cabin and were glad we did as we appreciated the extra room and seating. However, the couch in the room was not very comfortable as seat cushions were flat and hard. Bed and pillows were quite comfortable. There was plenty of storage in the cabin with a large closet area and a cupboard with lots of shelves for storing folded items, etc. Bathroom was roomy with a tub and long counter with room to spread out your things as you got ready for the day. Would mention that the shower gel and shampoo/conditioner were in two pump bottle in the tub area. Not very user friendly (came out in little spurts) and the combination shampoo/conditioner was not very good. We had some small hotel bottles of shampoo and conditioners with us that we used instead as their brand made our hair like straw. Our room steward, Ramon, did an outstanding job and was in our room three times a day keeping things in order. Cabin was a little tired and to be expected I suppose given the turnover in guests.
Food was okay. Seating in Horizon Court buffet was difficult to find. Always had to search for a place to sit. We took turns holding a table while the other went for their food. Lots of good fresh fruit option which we really enjoyed. Be prepared,to get out your card if you want anything besides water, tea, coffee or lemonade to drink. Food in main dining room was pretty good. The crime brûlée was excellent. Service was pretty good but servers were not particularly friendly.
Fairly roomy but couch was not very comfortable. Plenty of storage but short on hangers. We brought some of our own expecting that. Spacious bathroom.
AMAZING! Do not miss this leg of the trip.
Not enough time in port to do justice to an excursion. Would note that was the only time we did t fight for a seat at the buffet.
