This is my ninth cruise and the first on Celebrity which rates high with me. I don’t understand the bad reviews I have read. Of course, as with most of the cruises I have been on, the staff are wonderful and they take good care of you. The difference I saw this time was that the staff seemed extremely happy with their jobs. Supervisors did not intimidate and they all worked together and seemed to enjoy doing it. The officers and cruise director (Steve) were visible a lot, especially exiting the ship when in port.

This was a mostly adult cruise to Alaska with very few children. Everything was geared toward adults even though they had children’s programs. I don’t have experience with them since we did not have children on the cruise. There was a lot of fun going on in the Martini Bar every night.

The shows were great. We loved Marcus Terell and The Serenades. They all had wonderful voices and we enjoyed their performances. The Gold Art Duo was incredible and we enjoyed their performances also. Even the Millennium cast was great. The theater was one of the nicest we have been in on a cruise ship.

Cabin Review

Cabin ocean view 3

Our room had a huge window which is the biggest we’ve had before on any ship. From the outside of the ship, it looked like there are not that many rooms with that big of a window (at least five feet tall). We had originally booked a veranda room but were asked if we would swap at the last minute to a window room. We were a little hesitant to go from the veranda on the 9th floor to a window room on the 3rd floor but were thrilled with the switch. In hindsight, we were glad we had the window as it was too cold to spend time on the balcony anyway and it was less money. I spent plenty of time in the chair by the window with my binoculars. The 3rd floor was pretty low in ship but it was convenient to dining (on the 4th and 5th floors), the customer service and shore excursion desks (3rd floor) and exiting the ship. We will consider this convenience in future cruises. There was plenty of storage in the room and we never felt crowded. The bathroom was also adequate.
