My wife booked this cruise as a birthday present. i have not cruised for over 5 years as my wife does not enjoy sea travel. we joined the ship in Barcelona. boarding was a smooth process, albeit somewhat crowded. Barcelona is one of the main turnaround ports for NCL, so it was to be expected. First impressions were very positive. all staff were helpful and attentive. having undertaken a quick tour of the ship we settled for the Malting's bar. the bar attendant was a charming and incredibly hard working individual. her name was Jovana Stramenkovic. both my wife and I were amazed by her ability to serve numerous customers whilst deal with the waiters requests. At the same time she maintained a clean bar surface.

The cabin, balcony 9224 was somewhat compact yet adequate. Considering the ship has been designed to carry large passenger numbers it ticked all the boxes. Staff ensured the cabin was cleaned and turned down at nights. food and refreshments were excellent. My wife had taken advantage of a free drinks package which (if you paid for it) would have been somewhat expensive at $70 per person per day!!

the main buffet was very busy at peak times, we had pre-booked evening meals at a variety of the restaurants. Dinning was more relaxed and stress-free. Food quality and variety could not be faulted. that stated I am sure some would nonetheless complain.
