Sail Date: Dec 2010

We joined the cruise in Montego Bay on 30 December 2010 to be greeted by passengers moaning like mad about the ship. Well if they had problems over Christmas that's hard luck but reading the reviews, they are exaggerated. From 30 December onwards the cruise was superb - and let's not over-hype the 'engine fire'!! People running about with life jackets on and crying - don't believe it. The crew were quite rightly, as per seagoing-training, at their stations in life jackets. At no time were passengers instructed to put on life jackets or report to stations. If they did so, they did it off their own bat.

I didn't even get out of bed and although my wife was a bit concerned, I think she was reassured by own calm demeanour. Frankly, the Captain's last remark about 'Rest in Peace' was seen a bit of a laugh by most people.

The cruise itself was excellent. Ports of call 1st class, food superb, entertainment as good as the West End, staff brilliant, bar prices not unreasonable - what more could you want.
