We embarked on the Queen Elizabeth on for a cruise around the fjords and the northern cost of Norway. We only have experience of Cunard and only after the company was taken over by Carnival, however, our 10 year old son loves his holidays aboard and we have a great time too. If there is a downside it is that we do not see our son enough, as he spends as much time in the "Zone" as he is allowed.

As soon as we embarked we made our way to our cabin to which our luggage had already been delivered. Within a short while our cabin steward came to introduce herself (this is something that has happened on each of our cruises). We were warmly welcomed back on board.

The Britannia restaurant was everything we had hoped for - excellent (and plenty) food presented beautifully and served by friendly waiters. While our sommelier was rushed off his feet, his guidance was always worth following.

Good location - close to the walkway on deck six, ideal for seeing a different view from that offered on the balcony.
