Nevis Island Tour with lunch and beach
Great tour. Had a blast! The 30 minute ferry ride Nevis was smooth both ways. At Nevis we met our tour guide and boarded the bus for a grand tour of Nevis. Lots of history and good humor. Lovely little port with some great shopping and bars, also provides some lovely views of the ship! People were really friendly and I liked that when we visited a shop, people weren't quick to push or be overbearing, they allowed you to shop in peace but would offer assistance if wanted. Great shopping in the port area and the Beach Hop by Boat was a fantastic afternoon of fun on the Mystic catamaran. The guys on the boat were delightful and it was a great way to enjoy the island. The 2 beaches we stopped at were idyllic with the sand like talcum powder and the sea azure blue. Sadly, Britannia won’t be stopping in St Kitts next year, which is disappointing. ...
Against our better judgement, we decided to hike Mt. Liamuiga again, which we did 10 years ago and was very hard then. We again did it with Poinciana Tours, which is an excellent outfit, for $70/person. A group of five with two guides. They don’t provide much other than transportation in an open-air taxi to the trail (which does take a while to get there) and a few refreshments, but they’re nice ...
