Review for a North America River Cruise on American Constellation

We left the ship on day 3. Cabin was dirty, most chairs in the ship were stained, dinning room looked like a 1970's nursing home dining room, carpet was torn in our hallway (major trip hazard), our bathroom was filthy, no safe in room, even tho we were told there would be, a number of things in our room were missing and we had to ask for them, like the desk chair. (And they bring us a stained ...

Worst Vacation Ever

Worst vacation in 2/22 by far. So many things were just wrong, and no complaint dept. They just don't care if you are unhappy. Changed my room to near elevator and gang plank, making veranda unusable, safe unusable,no phone, clock, burst into my room during the night by mistake, no apology ever. The ships staff had covid, so I got covid, thought they had to be checked as we were before entering the ...

October 19th, 2021 Who we are: All of us were fully vaccinated and followed all guidelines during the cruise. We are seasoned cruisers and have been on both river and ocean cruises in Europe, South America, Asia and Australia. Why we chose ACL: Like many other travelers we were ready to cruise but wanted to stay in the USA. Wanted to see Washington and Oregon and this sounded ...

We chose this cruise because the itinerary looked interesting, the Covid-19 protocols seemed safe, and the other reviews of the cruise line looked promising. Big mistake. Huge. The positives: interior crew was amazing! Such great attitudes and service by the stewardesses and dining staff. They were friendly, helpful, fun, and funny. The negatives: everything else. Our itinerary got ...

Puget Sound & The San Juan Islands - No...Just No!

This review is very, very late due to the Move from H--l in the middle of a blizzard...but that's a story for another time or board! Never having visited the Puget Sound area, my husband thought he would treat me to the wonders of this particular area. He also wanted to compensate for a delicious Regent honeymoon cruise that was interrupted by a medical emergency-his (all turned out ok...fabulous ...

Worst cruise in 40 years of cruising

Review for a U.S.A. Cruise on American Spirit

We were totally misled. This ship (Spirit 2) was supposed to cruise Puget Sound and the San Juan Islands. The name of the tour needs to be changed to Stop and Dock. We NEVER spent one day cruising. It was advertised with one (1) day at sea and we had NONE.....Zero.....Zilch. We stayed at a dock every night except one where we anchored. There was nothing to see in any of the towns we stopped ...

Bad tripping with American Cruise Line

Clearly this cruise in the San Juan Islands and Puget Sound was not worth the price. The ‘ship’ we boarded looked nothing like the website picture in that the actual ship was clearly old and worn out. Rust was evident everywhere. The carpeting on the stairs needed to be thrown out, not just cleaned, it was that dirty and stained. That was the very first thing we noticed as we boarded and then ...

Puget Sound Cruise on the American Spirit

I selected this cruise because the route sounded interesting and it was all I could find last January. BIG MISTAKE !!! This ship reminded me of something you would find plying the Volga River in about 1975. Outdated and never up dated is the name of the cruise. Ship built in 2005 and not maintained very well. The staff for the most part were kids that had no idea what their job was. The food, if ...

1. Wanted to see the area via a cruise 2. Very poor food quality. In fact it became so poor that they brought in quality chef for two days mid crew. 3. Poor dining room service 4. Attention to detail was sorely lacking. While the wait staff was congenial they were mostly new and seemed like as though they were in a training aspect. 5. The cost of the cruise was outrageous. The cost was ...

American Constellation Fire

We wanted to take a cruise of the Puget Sound. We took a 10 day cruise on the American Cruise Line Constellation. Prior to that we spent a few days in Seattle where I had never been before. We have taken many cruises and the crew on this cruise was the most friendly and helpful. The ship caught fire in Tacoma WA. All passengers were evacuated at breakfast time and were able to get back on ...
