Trip of a Lifetime!

We anticipated and looked forward to this cruise for almost a year and it still exceeded our expectations. From the moment we got off the plane until we were delivered to our line at our departure airport we were taken care of like royalty. We felt like all of the staff treated us as friends. We knew each others's names and stories - and they knew our preferences. It was obvious that they enjoyed ...

Expectation Tour central Europe without unpacking, leisurely and with opportunity to visit destinations on a relaxing pace. Along the way expected to be in a small group and meet new fellow travelers with above average service and accommodations. Above average food and quality of service was the reason we selected Viking from others cruise lines. All of our friends who had previously taken ...

From the time we got off the flight until we got back on the flight Viking held our hand all the way. The Viking crew was excellent. Everything about the trip was first class. The ship, the crew, the entertainment and the food were all excellent. The Cruise Director was very helpful. The cabin was just the right size and I especially like the heated bathroom floor. The public rooms were very ...

We had taken two Viking River cruises in Asia with fabulous results, so we opted to try Europe in the longboats. We were not disappointed. The staff from the Captain, Program Director (Ben), Chef, wait staff and everyone we met was as friendly and accommodating as possible. We must say, the Program Director, Ben was incredible! Happiest, friendliest and always "on." The Captain did a great ...

River Cruising at Its Best

This was our third river cruise with Viking, and we have never been disappointed. We began with a two-day pre cruise stay in Amsterdam in a lovely, reasonable b&b (Clemens Hotel) near the Anne Frank House. The extra days allowed us to really explore the city and delight in its gardens, museums and just being there. We were there in early Spring and the weather was wonderful, and flowers were in ...

We started our cruise with a 2 day stay in Amsterdam which was good as we had plane departure problems at JFK and then missed a connecting flight at Heathrow and arrived in Amsterdam later than planned. We stayed at a great hotel that was located in the center of the city making it easy to get around. Once on the ship Alsvin we found our room delightful. As with most cruise ships quarters are ...

We love everything about Viking cruises. The local guides were all terrific. The food on the boat was always good . . . and the service was always excellent. All of the waiters were just wonderful. We were especially pleased with the attention given to keeping our room in tiptop shape! It is so nice to have someone make your bed and turn it down for you in the evening. We did the pre-cruise ...

Heard great things about VIKING, and wanted to try it out. There was a special, 2 for 1 with free airfare, so we booked it. AMAZING!!! Loved all the ports of call. River was exceptionally low, so we had to change ships 3 times, but it was a VERY pleasant, not stressful move! Food service for breakfast and lunch was wonderful ... Dinner ... Not so much. Although we could send food we didn't ...

We had previously been on a Viking river cruise along the Yangtze River in China and loved it. We have also traveled on several ocean cruises with a variety of cruise lines, along with a number of land tours. Our Grand European tour is at the top of all of our experiences. We loved the intimacy of the long ships which allowed us to make friends with a number of wonderful people. The ship ...
