"Thanks to Viking, though, for rearranging our flights after a last-minute cancellation by the airline. The only hiccup was upon our arrival in Amsterdam where it took far too long to make it out through passport control and baggage claim but the Viking representative was right there to collect us and take us to our hotel...."Read More
Having booked this cruise with friends over 2 years before - I was anticipating how lovely it will be. I was not disappointed with the ship. I watch a lot of PBS and Viking Commercials have always made me dream of taking a river cruise. We had a close group of 14 people among an extended group of 40. The ship isn't very big so it was wonderful to not have to deal with crowds and have everyone ...
The Viking river cruises were suggested to us by people who previously booked with Viking. We were pleasantly surprised by the efficiency of the crew. We were booked into a standard room and it served us well, as the only time we were in the room was to sleep. We can't say enough good things about the food and waitstaff on our boat - we were treated like royalty and the food was outstanding! ...
We chose the cruise because a friend has been on six of them and loved them. Arcy and Zorro were awesome serving us. I was touched that they even made sure they knew our names. There wasn’t a single day that we weren’t greeted with a smile & polite conversation.
The excursions we awesome. The cruise director was unbelievably helpful so that everyday we knew exactly what we were doing.
The ...
We had a great experience on the Rhine River with Viking. Viking exceeded my expectations! All the excursions were well planned and timely. The included excursions were very good. Viking had there own fleet of coach buses for the excursions and they were all very nice. All the tour guides were top notch...either currently lived in the towns we were touring or were former inhabitants. This ...
We loved this Viking River Cruise! All the tour guides were super knowledgeable about all the areas we explored. The food was excellent and the Staff was friendly and helpful. The Castles we saw on the Middle Rhine and the Black Forest region in Germany were the highlights. I also loved the little village of Barr near Strasbourg France. We did a Wine Tasting tour there. Our cabin was comfortable ...
This was our 3rd Viking River Cruise and second post pandemic. This one reminded us why we love Viking so much. The staff was amazing and attentive. They went to the effort to cook a meal after the kitchen was closed for someone that did not feel very good during dinner. Every one of the staff members made it their mission to make sure we had everything we needed and then some. From the tips ...
We chose the cruise because it stopped at cities we wanted to visit. Everything about the trip was fantastic, including the food, atmosphere, accommodations, smoothness of the ride, and service. It was a great cruise with a superb staff that made all the difference!
We started in Amsterdam and then stopped to view the Kinderdijk Windmills. Other stops included Cologne, Koblenz, Rudesheim, ...
This was a covid delayed cruise from 2020. Apparently that was true of a lot of people on the ship. Also, our ship had over 100 people on board who were part of one group. That's pretty impressive considering that the ship holds around 190 passengers. There were no kids on board, which did make a more peaceful trip.
Our cruise was the Amsterdam to Basel. This cruise is exactly what Viking ...
We chose this cruise as we cruised the Danube River the year before. The ports were of historical and scenic interest. We also traveled with friends. Viking takes the best care of their guests which includes cabin, food, drinks, and excursions. I really like that there are included excursions in every port and that every day there is a briefing as to what is to be expected the next day. I really ...
We had never done a river cruise or a small ship. We loved big cruise ships and wondered if we would like the small. Well… yes! It is very relaxed. It is more intimate than a large ship for sure. You get to know other cruisers ( if you want) easier, because you see them more often because the boat is smaller. The excursions are great. There is a lot of walking. If you have any mobility issues it ...
