We highly recommend the Rhine River Cruise. It stops at key towns and offers great excursions. There are several locks that I found interesting, as well as low bridges in which the captains wheelhouse hydraulically lowers to squeeze under them.
The top deck is perfect for sight seeing, particularly on the day you sail through the Middle Rhine with all the castles and vineyards.

Viking is the best! We felt pampered, the staff was amazing! There was evening entertainment on most nights. There was music trivia, a dj night and dancing. I lived and worked in Cologne 50 years ago and had not been back since. It was time. I had already cruised the Elbe and Danube and this planned cruise was delayed due to Covid.
