Carnival's Club O2 is where you'll find the teens who'd rather make new friends and hang out with their peers than with their parents on a cruise vacation.

Carnival offers different kids clubs for ages 3 to 17, including Circle C, Camp Ocean and FUN (for infants under 2). Let's take a closer look specifically at Club O2.

Club O2 is the teen lounge found on all Carnival cruise ships. Parents and younger kids are not allowed inside, though dedicated youth staff are always on hand to lead activities, serve as DJs and overall keep the peace.

The multipurpose space allows high schoolers aged 15 to 17 to soak in the camaraderie of their peers in a safe environment onboard. Club O2 is the perfect meeting space for experienced teen cruisers and first-timers.

Club O2: What Does the Carnival Teen Club Look Like?

The physical space resembles a dance club with a big dance floor, video screens, a DJ booth, a bar (for snacks and sodas/smoothies) and barstool seating. Comfy couches, a foosball table and video gaming spaces round out the lounge. Teens can even indulge in karaoke jam sessions or simply sit back, relax and watch a movie.

Activities are less structured than in Camp Ocean, and teens can check themselves in and out as they wish.

Club O2 on Carnival: Events and Activities

In-club events range from video and board game play to karaoke sessions, dance parties and listening to pop music.

Carnival's Club O2 activities aren't limited to the club, so teens head out to other areas of the ship to play basketball, mini-golf or Ping Pong; have a pool party or water slide competition; or watch one of the evening shows.

Each ship should have an activity schedule so you’ll always know where your teens are.

Club O2 on Carnival: Cost

The use of Club O2 is included in your Carnival cruise fare, much like with other cruise lines' youth programs.

Are All Activities for Teens Free on Carnival Cruise Ships?

There may be activities that are not included in your overall cruise fare. Speak to your kids about their intended activities before allowing them to use their cards to pay for activities outside of Club O2.

Some teens may want to enjoy the company of kids their own age in different settings, like getting fancy coffee or other drinks and onboard shopping with new friends. There are many fun activities included in your cruise fare and activities held at Club O2 should be free.
