Review for a Asia Cruise on Azamara Journey

Azamara's ships are older and beginning to show their age but are clean and well-maintained. Our wheelchair-accessible suite was comfortable with plenty of storage. The bath including roll-in shower is small but with good access. The cabin door is power operated. We found the food as good or better than expected with the exception of Aquilina. Choose Prime C instead. The main dining room is also ...

Review for a Asia Cruise on Riviera

Wonderful cruise around Japan on Riviera. The redone ship is beautiful. The redone cabin and bathroom are top notch with tons of storage! I had empty drawers in both my room and in the bathroom. The new shower is far superior to the old bathtub. The food was overall excellent as was the service. The destination team had their act together on this one with enough staff to handle guests. They ...

Superb Ship, Crew and Itinerary

Review for a Asia Cruise on Seven Seas Mariner

We had picked this cruise for the itinerary, but were a little wary about Regent after having made an itinerary choice on another NCL line (Oceania) last year and been badly let down. I was concerned that Regent would be an "all inclusive" version of Oceania, but I was very happily completely wrong. Aside from the quirks dealing with 'Miami" beforehand (I suspect that all NCL brand passengers ...

A Great Regent Cruise -- Returning in August

Review for a Asia Cruise on Seven Seas Explorer

Debated whether it was a 4* or a 5. Lets say 4.5 and round it up. Itinerary was Tokyo to Tokyo with stops in Japan, Korea and China. Pre Cruise (included) - We did our own air and transfers. Added 2 days on our own to the hotel @ $450 a night. The pre cruise tours were organized by Destinations Asia and had an American in the front doing all the managing and announcements. Worked well ...

Met our heightened expectations

Review for a Asia Cruise on Azamara Journey

The ship has an elegant interior which is kept spotlessly clean. All passengers were greeted with a glass of champagne on embarkation which foreshadowed the great service for the whole cruise. Cabins were immediately available so after unpacking we went to the aft buffet for a snack. We were warmly greeted and treated to nice glasses of wine while admiring the view of Hong Kong in somewhat chilly ...

After my 5 cruise in 12 month , Encore was my first time , its bit larger than the quest or odyssey but that means there is better shows and 600 pax , si I like to point out that the food was exceptional better than the 4 previous crises with seabourn , perhaps the area and quality of all the ingredients. in Asia myght have a role , the fruits on board where all incredible specially the water ...

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Viking Sky

This was my very first ocean cruise. I had specific requirements in my search for the right cruise. I wasn’t interested in a party atmosphere with loud disco music, I wanted to avoid children running around the ship, and I wasn’t interested in spending time with gambling or casinos. I wanted a cruise with diverse dining options in restaurants that didn’t require me to become best friends with a ...

Review for a Asia Cruise on Crystal Symphony

It would be easy for someone like me who has never cruised on either the old, or the recently renewed Crystal Symphony, to feel like they've crashed a stranger's floating family reunion picnic and wolfed down the barbeque and beer before they notice I’m there. Eavesdrop during a crowded lunch and you'll learn that the majority of both the passengers and crew have sailed together on this same ship ...

First Time on Windstar Yachts ... We'll be back!

Review for a Asia Cruise on Star Breeze

We really wanted to do a cruise around Japan and found this was the perfect itinerary and a great chance to try Windstar for the first time. We are frequent cruisers on Oceania & Azamara with several cruises on SilverSea and Seabourn. Windstar really impressed us. The ship was in great shape. We knew it was an "old" Seabourn yacht - so we expected it to be a bit dated. The soft goods all ...
