Probably our last Azamara cruise

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Azamara Journey

We have just returned from what I expect will be our last Azamara cruise. Our ten day Ireland intensive cruise on Azamara Journey left from Dublin, circled Ireland and ended in Southampton. The itinerary was excellent, the weather (apart from some rain in Belfast) was unseasonably good. The embarkation area in Dublin was a tiny marquee. Had it been raining we would have got wet while standing ...

It Was TERRIBLE, Never Again!

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Azamara Pursuit

Azamara, simply was not an elite criuse adventure. Their customer service was terrible from the start, no one waiting to pick us up or to help with lost luggage etc. The food overall was not good. The ship was 21 years old, sold 4 times and showed it. I do have a few pictures to show it. They were very disorganized, even giving us the wrong luggage tags on departure. We took all our luggage ...

Perfect ship for this cruise

Booked this cruise because of the itinerary. This was Ireland intensive and the Pursuit was perfect for it. Because of its smaller size we were able to get into ports the mega ships can’t As a result we got to see so much more of Ireland and experience smaller towns. I know Azamara has had some administrative growing pains going out on their own but you’d never have known it from the ...

I was not a seasoned cruiser , I had only been on a Carnival, Holland America , Oceana , Windstar , Regent and One River Cruise . We decided to do the Ireland Intensive and one more to France , Portugal and Spain . It wound up being Twenty Seven Back To Backs on the Quest . We did Ireland, France, Portugal, Spain , Malta , Bali, New Zealand, Australia , Greece twice , all the way to Singapore , ...

Wonderful way to get a taste of Ireland

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Azamara Quest

We have always wanted to visit Ireland and it is not often that cruises around Ireland are offered. We spent a night in Dublin before boarding the ship in the afternoon. We were given a time slot as facilities for shelter at the port are limited in Dublin and it all worked smoothly. Boarding was quick and easy. After clearing docs at portside, we went to the show lounge to get pics taken and ...

Norway with Azamara simply the best!

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Azamara Quest

We did Norway in the winter on Viking and couldn’t wait to return to our favourite country with Azamara and a Norwegian captain. Embarkation in Dublin was very easy, there are no port facilities so it was part in a tent off ship and part indoors in the Lounge. Despite this it was one of the smoothest embarkations we have experienced. It was probably a lot of hard work for the crew though! ...

This was our first cruise ever. Azamara did not miss a trick for the most part. Service was exceptional. Amenities were terrific. Good gym and spa. Food was good. Speciality restaurants offered variety. Stewards took great care. Everyone on board greets you. Getting on the ship was easy. People were inviting and helpful. Leaving the ship was simple. Luggage was slow to come out but easy to get to ...

Azamara means the best staff.

We had never sailed with Azamara before, but will certainly do so again. We have always had good service on a cruise but the service on Azamara was extraordinary with incredible warmth, from the captain to the lovely young man who took care of our cabin. They must treat staff well, because they seem to have worked there throughout their career at sea, and remember all the returning guests, ...

We love Azamara. On this trip, the crew was absolutely fantastic, as always. As a matter of fact, 3 of the bar tenders remembered us from previous cruises with them. The whole bar staff in the Living Room was fantastic. The casino bar was also great. There is definitely a family feel to the crew and it makes the guest feel welcomed and special. Itinerary was good - Ireland, Scotland, ...

1st Time on Azamara

Review from a first-timer! To give some context, our cruise experiences have run the gamut – from mass market (RCL, NCL & Princess) to premium (Celebrity) to luxury (Seabourn and Silversea) and on ships of a wide variety of sizes from the 10K ton Seabourn Legend to the 140k ton Navigator of the Seas. We cruise on the larger ships with our children (now 19 and 23) and the smaller, more upscale ...
