There were 591 on this cruise (ship accommodates about 675) with a crew of about 400. This is considered an upscale line and ship and it is. The ship and crew did a fine job. The food was excellent and much better than most of their competitors, but they could use some menu additions and modifications. We love azamara and love the quest and you will too. This ship was apparently overhauled about ...
We wanted to see parts of South America. We enjoyed the food and service. The excursions were pricey so we did most touring on our own in ports. In Ponte Del Este, we obtained a private driver and toured the whole area including a visit to casa Pueblo, which was amazing. We took the ship’s excursion to see Christ the Redeemer and the beaches. On the way back to the ship. The bus driver lost ...
Just disembarked the Quest after 11 nights from Istanbul to Athens. The experience was top notch and rest assured that the crew is getting more and more up to excellent standards . The boarding process in Istanbul was seemless and we were on board by 1:15. The itinerary was changed just a few days before to switch date of ports in Santorini and Patmos. As a result we had Santorini with a portload ...
We cruised on the Azamara Quest sailing out of Istanbul down the west coast of Turkey and through the Greek Islands. This is probably the best cruise we have taken and the Quest is in excellent shape for an older ship. Quest is said to have been overhauled in 2021. Everything was perfect. Check-in was seamless and the required orientation went quickly on 5. We had a balcony room on the 7th floor. ...
Almost everything is perfect is this cruise if you travel in a suite cabin. The outstanding service level, the logistics, the shore excursions organization, the exclusive access to high quality specialty restaurants, the Philippine band was amazing and the cruise stops were really well together. All the staff on on board was genuinely nice, careful and always available to help.
The only 3 ...
I’ll start with the pros:
Outstanding staff – wait, room and bar staff were all superb. Professional and attentive. Praise goes to Milton and Mike in the Atlas bar. The perfect dynamic duo, gracious and fun.
Food was excellent. We dined in Discoveries every night. Varied selections each night along with standards to order. Delicious and beautifully presented. If you have a favorite wait ...
This cruise/ship was recommended to us by a Travel agent as we were seeking an alternative to the mega ships.
Although an older ship built in 1999, it was totally refurbished in 2021 when Azamara bought the boat. Admittedly we had a suite and our room was awesome.
Staff was attentive, smiling, and helped make the cruise what it was.
Captain Smith was engaging and had a great sense of ...
Second time travelling with Azamara (first since the takeover and what a difference between products.
The crappy service started right from the arrival at Istanbul Airport. We had booked airport transfers through Azamara only to figure out for ourselves after waiting for an hour and numerous calls to their non existent ‘emergency’ help desk that they had not booked them so we had to catch a $70 ...
This was our first cruise on Azamara and they completed exceeded our expectations. Coming out of COVID, we wanted to cruise on a smaller boat, and one of the recommendations from our travel agent was Azamara. Communications after booking the cruise were good. Port check-in and security clearance in Athens (Piraeus) was simple taking only about 30 min, and they did a very simple safety briefing ...
We chose this cruise as it was a smaller ship. We found it much more intimate, no queues and everybody was so friendly. The ship holds 700 passengers but there were only 400 on board.
The negatives are the swimming pool was small which if the ship had full capacity this could be a problem. Even though the interior of the ship had been re-furnished they had not done the staterooms. The ...
