Just disembarked the Quest after 11 nights from Istanbul to Athens. The experience was top notch and rest assured that the crew is getting more and more up to excellent standards . The boarding process in Istanbul was seemless and we were on board by 1:15. The itinerary was changed just a few days before to switch date of ports in Santorini and Patmos. As a result we had Santorini with a portload ...
We cruised on the Azamara Quest sailing out of Istanbul down the west coast of Turkey and through the Greek Islands. This is probably the best cruise we have taken and the Quest is in excellent shape for an older ship. Quest is said to have been overhauled in 2021. Everything was perfect. Check-in was seamless and the required orientation went quickly on 5. We had a balcony room on the 7th floor. ...
Almost everything is perfect is this cruise if you travel in a suite cabin. The outstanding service level, the logistics, the shore excursions organization, the exclusive access to high quality specialty restaurants, the Philippine band was amazing and the cruise stops were really well together. All the staff on on board was genuinely nice, careful and always available to help.
The only 3 ...
This cruise/ship was recommended to us by a Travel agent as we were seeking an alternative to the mega ships.
Although an older ship built in 1999, it was totally refurbished in 2021 when Azamara bought the boat. Admittedly we had a suite and our room was awesome.
Staff was attentive, smiling, and helped make the cruise what it was.
Captain Smith was engaging and had a great sense of ...
This was our first cruise on Azamara and they completed exceeded our expectations. Coming out of COVID, we wanted to cruise on a smaller boat, and one of the recommendations from our travel agent was Azamara. Communications after booking the cruise were good. Port check-in and security clearance in Athens (Piraeus) was simple taking only about 30 min, and they did a very simple safety briefing ...
Outstanding: Of our some 30 cruises, both ocean and river, this was among the 3 best overall, and the best in multiple regards particularly food and beverage. (A post-covid cruise we took on 1 of those 3 best was now unsatisfactory.) Considering we are still coming out of covid, and that Azamara recently changed ownership, with attendant start-up problems with the website, the performance of ...
We have just returned from a very enjoyable cruise around the Greek Islands on the Azamara Onward. I was a little concerned about the trip after reading negative reviews about the ship but we found the staff and the food very good. We have been on 5 or 6 cruises with various larger cruise companies and we much preferred this smaller ship. We were fortunate to book a suite as we were celebrating ...
Having sailed on her Maiden Voyage in 2022 from Monte Carlo congratulations are in order to the entire crew service teams and management for making the necessary changes since taking the cruise line private. Of course it’s still a work in progress as it relates to the land based booking technology but certainly once aboard you would feel the tender loving care you will receive from every aspect ...
This cruise could have been a disappointment. For that matter, this Greece-Turkey cruise could have been a dud. Instead the trip turned out to be our second thoroughly satisfying vacation on an Azamara ship this year.
When we first booked the Black Sea cruise last year, we were really looking forward to finally going to Istanbul and seeing a different part of the world. Then the geopolitical ...
Apparently the first couple of cruises were pretty rocky according to reviews (and the Captain's public comments) but by our sailing the problems seemed to have been ironed out. Our wheelchair cabin was clean and newly-furnished including a well-designed shower. Service as usual was friendly, attentive and responsive. Food in both main dining room and specialty venues left nothing to complain ...
