Second Segment of this cruise even worse.

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Azamara Quest

We have sailed on many cruises, and Azamara was a new one for us. The Quest looks just like the smaller ships on the Oceana line and except for a few differences they are exactly the same. But only in the ships appearances. We were on the prior segment and wanted to continue to see new ports in this part fo the world. 1 No embarking as we sailed on the prior segment, we stayed onboard ...

We have sailed on many cruises, (52 to date) and Azamara was a new one for us. The Quest looks just like the smaller ships on the Oceana line and except for a few differences they are exactly the same. But only in the ships appearances. We booked this segment and the next as a back to back of Central America & Mexico. Except for Mexico all ports were new to us. So the itinerary was what got us ...

Not Really Upscale

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Azamara Journey

First of all, the crew was outstanding and also the entertainment, with the exception of the "amazing evening" which was far below average. The food was good, although on two occasions, when my wife ordered from the menu, she was told that the item was not available. We did not go on any ship excursions so I cannot comment in this area. They ship itself was well-maintained, the elevators ...

Oh Azamara, what happened to you?

I don't usually write reviews, there are so many good descriptions of cruises and ports I normally don't feel I have a lot to add, but this last cruise was such a disappointment and it was relatively expensive I thought I had to. Six of us booked an Azamara cruise through the Panama Canal based on an earlier cruise I had taken and therefore recommended we ‘upgrade’ to Azamara. Unfortunately ...

Last Cruise with Azamara

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Azamara Journey

We have cruised with Azamara before and were very pleased. This time we noticed a significant denigration with the quality of the food offered. There were always items at each meal that were acceptable. If we were cruising on a mass volume RCCL ship the food would have been considered good. However, we were on Royal Caribbean's luxury line, Azamara which competes with Oceania. A few examples ...

The second cruise after the dry dock, and they were still working on the ship! No washers or dryers, painting the baseboards, areas on deck partitioned off with plastic, food not that well presented or tasty. The crew was not familiar with the ship, and we were all awakened by the PA system in the middle of the night with a 'medical emergency'. That doesn't instill confidence for the passengers, ...

Panama Canal cruise from Caldera, Costa Rica to Miami. Done well - Good food, especially specialty restaurants. Wait staff excellent. - Suite cabins well appointed, though drawer space limited. - Ship attractive, well laid out, quite luxurious. Cabin staff excellent. - Overnight in New Orleans good idea. Done badly - Web site hard to ...

Disappointing Cruise

My wife and I and another couple went on the Azamara Journey Panama Canal cruise. This was our first (and last) Azamara cruise. The crew were all helpful and friendly. That was the strength of the cruise. Unfortunately I can't say much else positive. For the first 3 days of the cruise many of the stateroom toilets on decks 6 and 7 didn't work. A fact that the crew was aware of before we left ...

Uneven amateurish performance

I have taken 25 cruises(three with Azamara) and this was by far our worst cruise experience. Our toilets did not flush for 1 1/2 days. If this was not bad enough , we were were not originally compensated as everyone else was who experienced this misfortune. I had to go through 2 days of addtional aggravation before I was able to convince guest relations that our toilets were out as long as anyone ...
