Such a disappointment after all the expectation.

Review for a Asia Cruise on Silver Shadow

We are not seasoned cruisers, but have really enjoyed three previous small ship cruises with Windstar. We were expecting to go up a notch in opting for Silversea, but were sadly disappointed. The one saving grace, was that all the front-facing bar, cleaning, catering and waiting staff were all fantastic, friendly and welcoming. However, that only demonstrated the contrast with the more senior ...

Nice cruise

Review for a South Pacific Cruise on Seven Seas Explorer

First time with Regent. Lovely ship and great cruise from Bali to Sydney. Cyclone went thru Cairns so all excursions cancelled at that port. Downgraded to category 1 so we really had no effects while at sea. Have cruised over a dozen times with others lines, first time with Regent. Nicest and largest room ever, plenty of storage, great room service except when we had to quarantine for 12 ...

Lovely cruise but entertainment was poor

Review for a South Pacific Cruise on Seven Seas Explorer

Beautiful ship with lovely staff and excellent food but the entertainment fell short of what we’ve experienced with Regent on past cruises. Constant changes to the entertainment programme. They repeated performances and also made numerous cancellations. This was a 17 day cruise with no deck parties and there appeared to be a lack of direction from the cruise director and his wife. The ...

Let's start with the things that the Regent Seven Seas Explorer gets right: 1. The ship was phenomenal! From its size, number of passengers, decor, variety of restaurants, spa, room service, two pools, free laundry service, bathroom (specifically the huge shower and soaking tub, 2 vanities) and our spacious balcony - these things were all wonderful. 2. Staff...the sheer number and the ...

Bali to Hong Kong, nope only Bali to Bangkok due to Coronavirus

Review for a Asia Cruise on Seven Seas Voyager

We chose this cruise because of the port calls in Vietnam and Hong Kong. Unfortunately, the cruise was canceled in Bangkok through an abundance of caution due to the Coronavirus. Yes this was disappointing, but this ensured that the ship and us did not got stuck in 14-days of quarantine somewhere. Regent did the right thing and was more than generous with the refund and future cruise discount. The ...

All inclusive? Well, maybe not so much ...

We chose this cruise because of it's itinerary. We have cruised a lot. In a nutshell, the ship itself met our expectations. Comfortable. Clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Food very good. Entertainment good. Our only disappointment were the excursions -- unless you pay extra, you get mediocre excursions -- mostly long bus rides. But the poor rating has nothing to do with the excursions. ...

Wonderful Way to Spend Christmas & New Years

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Regatta

Just as introduction: I like Oceania's smaller ships a little bit better than their bigger ones, but mostly we choose by itinerary. We're Oceania regulars, but occasionally cruise on Viking Ocean, which we also love. We've also cruised about 4 times on other ships. We were happy to find that Oceania's quality had not gone down in the year plus it had been since we had last cruised. The ...

Very good but could be better

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Seabourn Encore

This was a lovely cruise experience overall. We were fortunate to have sailed on the Encore last year and so can offer a comparison. Briefly, we found that while still very good, there were a couple of areas where things were not quite as good as on our previous cruise. There seemed to be a greater number of new staff who clearly were getting up to speed with their jobs. They were doing there best ...

Superb tall ship experience

Review for a Asia Cruise on Star Clipper

This is a great intimate soft adventure but with all the luxuries. We shared the experience with 144 other passengers but you never felt crowded. Every sail away the sails were raised along with emotions. Dining was very good with a six course meal should you choose with full waiter service. Drinks were well priced with house drinks at 3.5 Euro along with an excellent wine list from house ...

We were expecting the best ever cruise and our personal experience is as follows: The good things: - The ship is beautiful, fairly new and nicely appointed. - The dining and room staff are great and will do anything for you. - The itinerary of our 17 day cruise from Bali to Hong Kong was well thought out and perfect for us. - The whole ship is clean and tidy. - The rooms are well ...
