No entertainment, food not good,

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Carnival Legend

Because it got dood reviews and it was leaving from Baltimore. Unfortunately we had a very rough ride down and back and weather was not good anywhere but Half Moon Cay but that not the cruises fault. The food however was not very good, didn’t even look appealing. There was no entertainment really other than comedian who was very good and some piano bar etc. just a bunch of games and auctions ...

Cruising from Baltimore in March Comes with Risks

This cruise was most notable for the weather - it was cold, windy, and wet for most of the cruise. Really the only beautiful day was our Half Moon Cay day - so that was nice. But the seas were quite rough most of the time (it's great the ship has stabilizers) too. So overall, if you are looking for warmth and beautiful sunny days - just be aware you might not get them at this time of year. ...

The good the bad and the ugly

I was in an ocean view First the good: The crew were fabulous. Attentive, friendly, extremely skilled and eager to please. I can't say enough good about all of my interactions with them all. The "Chef's Table" was superb. I always book this experience whenever I cruise Royal and I was not disappointed. The food was, as always, great, the ambiance was first rate and again, the staff were ...

Not Good

Food was awful. Ship was outdated. Staff were nice and pleasant. The ship was constantly in your pocket from the time you sail away until the last day. It is definitely a party boat. Comedy show we saw was good. Nuasau was a nasty trashy place. When we asked staff where the beach was they said walk 20 minutes and make rights. The place was trashy, bums, locals harassing you. The beach had glass, ...

We traveled with six adults and two toddlers. We were rather disappointed in the food on the entire cruise, with the exception of the specialty restaurants. - Coffee in Truffle dining room not hot (dinner) - What happened to tablecloths in dining room? - A server used to come with a bread basket to choose bread we like. This time they came with all the same bread and gave one ...

Another wonderful cruise

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Vision of the Seas

First, the port of Baltimore. We had a 12:00 arrival time but the traffic inside the port was so bad we weren't able to park until a half hour or so later even though we arrived about 15 minutes early. So many people coming in an hour or more before their scheduled time clogged things up I think. Once we were able to park, we found the appropriate line for our time and breezed through quickly. ...

Not a great RCL experience, surprisingly

We have cruised over 23 times in 43 years, often selecting Royal Caribbean because we had been so pleased with our previous experiences. Well, maybe we are just cruised out but our last cruise on the Vision out of Baltimore was at best, mediocre. The food in the Windjammer was less in selection, too many highly spiced dishes, and often cold or Luke warm. The main dining room just seemed to ...

I gave Carnival Cruise Line another try but they failed me again. Dirty windows with brown streaks of dirt. Overcrowded tender boats. Cold bbq chicken served at their private island lunch. Poor entertainment and not enough to do. No turndown service, even in suites. And worst of all - mechanical failure, engine trouble left us motionless for hours. Due to the engine failure our cruise returned ...

My husband and I chose this cruise since we can easily get a ride to the port. We wanted a break from winter. Neighbors joined us, making our party two couples 57-61 years old. We each had an ocean balcony. PROS: As mentioned, convenience to port. Plenty of shelving around bathroom sink (6 shelves for all of the meds, makeup, toiletries etc.). Plenty of closet space between 3 closets. ...

Sailed out of Baltimore on Carnival Legend for a 7-day cruise to the Bahamas. The wife and I sailed with our two girls, 15 and 17. This was our third cruise and second cruise on Carnival, the other one being on the Carnival Pride in 2018. I'll start with general thoughts, then I'll discuss some positives, and end with the negatives. Generally, the ship was clean and the food decent. There were ...
