Second time on Norwegian Jewel. Previous time was nice but not amazing. We chose it again because of the itinerary.
What we did not like this time:
- lack of sufficient and clear information prior to embarkation. the website is not working properly, no responses on email or phone. Problems with booking excursions.
- the ship's entertainment pretty much resembled last year's programme - ...
We were looking forward to this.....a lot!
We had booked a similar itinerary with Ncl 2 years prior and they simply pulled the cruise. No explanation, it just went. Forgot about that when we booked this. Gradually, this became a different cruise to what we had booked. ports disappeared, shore time shortened. Overnights stops became at sea days! Anyway, we were determined to enjoy Asia, and in ...
Booked this cruise as a 60th birthday celebration, and was very disappointed that on final payment we received the itinerary changes. I emailed NCL in December without a reply (this is now standard NCL customer service unless you email the upper management) We then received further Itinerary changes just a couple of weeks before departure. As I had paid for an overnight hotel in Singapore to ...
My husband and I recently embarked on the Norwegian Jewell Cruise to Asia with high expectations, but unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Several aspects of the cruise left much to be desired, prompting me to share this negative review.
1. Low-Quality Events: The onboard events and activities were disappointingly lackluster. From poorly executed shows to mundane ...
We chose this cruise as a novel ravel experience as my wife had never cruised before, additionally the convenient departure location and ports of call.
I understand that this is an older and smaller ship than the recent giants but this suited us fine .
The overall cruise was very good with a few caveats ; internet was poor and fiddly (need to log out after every use),
The food and ...
I wanted to cruise in Southeast Asia. Starting poor service in transport from airport to port. Lots of bus but whoever organized the transport does not know what they’re doing. We were waiting in the hot bus for 2 hours before transported to the port. Embarkation was a pure hell, chaotic and disorganized, this is only the beginning of security in the the port not even checking in. They should have ...
I love this ship. The extension and redesign made it a different ship. This turned into a cruise to nowhere because several ports denied entry to us because of the Coronavirus scare. SilverSea handled it beautifully, keeping everyone informed and at the first sign of trouble offering 100% refunds plus free return flights home and a 25% reduction for a future cruise. When we finally were ...
A great itinerary in Southeast Asia. This was my fifth Regent cruise, and found the overall experience very good, but slipped from past Regent Cruises. Ship recently refurbished and very attractive.
Would have rated it excellent, but for the dining experience, which I found to have slipped compared to previous Regent cruises. Menu in the Compass Rose was adaquate, not particularly creative. ...
This was a special holiday and very expensive chosen as a one-off treat never again
The cabin looked lovely but we had problems with the carpet being wet from the balcony to the middle of the lounge area as did a lot of the same side of our deck . The Butler was visible sometimes and not others . Tried twice to phone room service and was cut off . The patio door was not sealed properly and ...
I love SliverSea for its high end attitude and small ship feel. The food was great and the unlimited wine and liquor make for a great social atmosphere. I thought the nightly shows were good and well produced. The cruise director Moss did a great job keeping everyone informed of daily activities and updates.
I enjoyed the travel series type lectures by Peter LaSorsa, as I learned a great ...
