I think it depends on your expectations
"What no one said was that the heart of town was a 30+ minute walk from the port terminal.A few days before my cruise, I received both an email and a telephone call from RCI apologizing for the delay in response and telling me that due to the late date, unfortunately their transfer from central Venice to Ravenna was sold out...."Read More

What’s Happened to the Royal Caribbean Brand?

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Brilliance of the Seas

On boarding the ship my wife and I were shocked to find our cabin would only be serviced once a day. This was not a cheap cruise particularly when paying in Aussie $. Royal Caribbean left this to the cabin steward to try and explain. Very poor effort on behalf of the management team to leave this to the cabin attendant. Surely a cabin cleaned twice a day provides a much more healthier environment ...

Never sail with Royal Caribbean again!

This Cruise was over priced and it absolutely under delivered, consequently we will never be sailing with Royal Caribbean again. As we have cruised with them on a number of occasions previously, we feel that the criticisms listed below are completely justified. The entertainment was extremely poor, (and that is being generous) nowhere near the standard of previous cruises we’ve ...

Embarked in Sydney Australia for 12 day cruise to NZ, embarkation was seamless. Throughout the cruise the staff were friendly & went above & beyond. Cannot fault the staff they are the only redeeming factor in the Royal Caribbean experience. In the rooms there are US outlets only, cannot plug in Australian devices, there are no USB ports. Only option was to rent an adapter from customer ...

First Time Cruiser • Age 40s

A friend at work recommended a cruise, in a moment of madness we booked through luxury escapes for 10 nights leaving Sydney for New Caledonia and Vanuatu. The ship is tired and showing its age, tattoos looked compulsory, probably with their room number so when they are inebriated they can find their way back. There is nothing interesting to do unless you enjoy drinking, belly flop competitions or ...

DECOMMISSION THIS SHIP

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Brilliance of the Seas

Well where to begin, came on this cruise as I have been on Royal Caribbean cruise ships before, this ship is absolute garbage, the fact this ship is still in service shows me that this ship’s best days are long gone and the company heads are using it as a quick cash grab. Upper Management have an air of scammery going on from freezing multiple people’s accounts twice a day to overcharging for ...

11 Days ex Sydney to Eden, Adelaide, Melbourne and Hobart ( cyclone change)

Ship was to go to Far North Queensland but due to Cyclone we went south instead. I was happy to go south, but could understand people being disappointed with change, but there was no way we could have gone to Cairns etc. First time on Brilliance, had previously been on Quantum last 4 times, and I actually enjoyed the smaller ship, it took us back to the old days ( well not that old ...

Background Information This was a multigenerational cruise involving my elderly parents, 40ish sibling with partner and a teenager. I've done 5 previous cruises with Royal. Travel To Port of Embarkation We travelled to Sydney and each stayed at different hotels. I suggest booking one within walking distance to the terminal. There are plenty of choices in Circular Quay or The ...

Very Dissapointed with our cruise. Royal Caribbean is on the par with Carnival and P&O

As we have previously cruised with Royal Caribbean on 8 previous occasions we decided to cruise with them once again. As we considered RC to be of a very high standard .. We chose a 9 night cruise to Adelaide and Melbourne as we wanted to visit Kangaroo Island and town of Hahndorf. Brilliance of the Seas is an older type ship but very well maintained. Our expirations were high but only to be ...

We chose this cruise because BOS has not been here in Australia before only ROS,same class but different ship. We just wanted to go on a smaller ship again. It was a 10 night South Pacific cruise to in order as we went,Lifou,Luganville,Vila,Mystery Island and Noumea. We have done a few cruises into this area before. At this time, the start of our cruise season is usually very good, but this time ...

The Great Disappointment

Review for a South Pacific Cruise on Brilliance of the Seas

After having cruised with P&O and Carnival I was expecting better than what was on offer from Royal Caribbean on this cruise. The embarkation process was quick and easy. Our oceanview cabin was clean and spacious but the interior furnishings like the sofa, were tired looking and in need of upgrading. The bed was not comfortable and we had to get our room attendant to find some mattress toppers ...
