Carnival Mexican Riviera Cruise Reviews

Great meeting this guy, humble and transparent. He just knows what he's doing. As I said,if He is not your cruise activity director, just ask for a refund lol. He's that good.

Started night before at Holiday Inn w/ park & cruise option. Shuttle to ship was great; signed up on list & no problems getting there. Went at 10:30 since 11:00 was booked. Arrived around 11:30 & went straight in VIP (Recently Platinum)room, which was very nice with comfortable chairs & lemonade. 3 nice women there to help with registration & no waiting at all. I got my Platinum card & my DH & ...

H and I decided to book at the last minute a return trip on the Spirit. We had taken the Spirit in January 2010 to the Mexican Rivera and had no plans for out fall vacation. So when Carnival made an offer for $600 per person for an extended balcony on its October 12, 2010 five day cruise, we decided to return.Since our January trip was truly a great trip, decided to retake the Spirit for short ...

CARNIVAL CONTINUES TO SURPRISE

We feel the things are changing in the cruise industry due to costs and the resulting containment. Right now we are on a three cruise test. It started with the Celebrity Summit in September on a Canada, NE cruise. We have been celeb devotees with 11 cruises but we did have a 4 year absence before this one. unfortunately it was a culinary Titanic. Step 2 was the Carnival Spirit on October 4 ...

Solo single on the Splendor

I had room 1083 right behind the big screen TV. I never heard a peep out of the big screen and I only hear one set of adults being loud in the corridor. It was extremely quite up there for a cruise ship and I was hugely pleased with the room. Very large and comfortable for a solo person. That was for a cruise I just finished last week. I have cabin number 1077 for this cruise in Oct of 2011. That ...

Disabled? Avoid Carnival No Matter What the Cost!!

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Carnival Spirit

My review of our 10/27 Cruise on the Carnival Spirit is written from the viewpoint of someone who is disabled - two different accidents affected the structure of my knee, necessitating the removal of the kneecap and ultimately requiring two joint replacement surgeries. While I can walk, I can't go far, and I also can't stand or kneel for long periods. I use an electric scooter to get around, and ...

Fun on the Splendor

Since I find it most useful when people organize their review by each "category" of the cruise I thought I'd do the same. Embarkation Not smooth. Not smooth. Not smooth. It was actually one of those times where it didn't matter what time you arrived, it was a nightmare. We arrived at noon (despite being told to arrive around 2) and were surprised by the disorganization at the port. ...

My 24-year-old daughter and I just got back from our first cruise to the Mexican Riviera on the Carnival Splendor. It left out of Long Beach and was very convenient for us. We had a lovely time. Cabin We were on the top deck and had a Spa cabin with a balcony. It was quiet and nicely located near the Cloud 9 Spa where we used the gym, the large spa and hot water-heated "lounge chairs". ...

Not sure what to expect from Carnival. This was my first cruise with them and I'd heard mixed reviews from people I know that have cruised with them. The first impression was not good. Embarkation was awful. There were people everywhere. People from the previous cruise were very slow to get off the ship. We heard different stories as to why it was this way. Not sure what the real deal was or if it ...

We recently took the Splendor to Mexican Riveria. Have traveled before on other cruise lines to include Carnival but have never been on a ship that moved so much even in calm seas. I can only assumed that the ship did not have stablizers or did not use them. Previous reviews have dissed the quality of the food - but we found the quality of both food and service to be excellent. Whenever there was ...

Great ship, great food, ports not worth it.

Had a great 5 day vacation on the Carnival Spirit. The ship was very clean and all the staff were extremely nice and helpful. Cruise director Jen was great as well as the rest of the staff. Steward and dining service were amazing. The food was all great - no complaints there at all!! The ports were terrible - Cabo san Lucas and Ensenada. Although the ports were not the reason for the cruise at ...
