This was our fourth carnival cruise. Our second cruise on the miracle. we loved the miracle and the staff and the food and everything so so much the first time around we decided to do a second trip on the miracle about a year later. Embarkation went smoothly. Our cabin was nice. The bed was comfortable. The water was hot. Our room steward was fantastic as always. The food was good. The ...

I'll start this review by saying I hadn't initially booked this sailing, originally we were booked on the Panorama for the 9th of December but due to engine problems, the ship was dry docked. That being said we paid little to nothing for this cruise nor did I have many expectations as this was my first time sailing with Carnival. For reference, my first cruise was on Harmony with Royal, which was ...

Ok - Seemed like Carnival Went Downhill

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Carnival Panorama

We chose because it was West Coast (easier for traveling for us from AK) and week before Spring Break. The food quality has gone down tremendously. The service was good and entertainment ok but if you aren’t a late owl be prepared to miss most deck or theme parties since they all started at 10:30 or 11pm. The 15-17 age group seemed like they didn’t do much to engage kids together and my ...

A very nice ship that is hampered by poor main dining food and a feeling of everything costing extra.

The ship layout is great and there seems to be plenty of rooms and seats all of which were quite comfortable. The cabin was clean enough (we did notice a layer of dust on a few surfaces in the room though). And everyone we talked to about their rooms thought they were nice and quiet. They have done well with the insulation in these rooms! The buffet and the MDR had amazing service but ...

Not as good as in the past

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Carnival Panorama

Fourth time on this ship, and the last. Most things were the same, but some worse than in the past. Cabin was clean and service good. The shows as usual were very good. The cruse staff especially a lady maned Queen Mary was very good. Deon the CD very energetic, but not super friendly. Food was mediocre, not as good as in the psdt. Dinner service was very good. The worst was breakfast. ...

Carnival Radiance to Catalina and Ensenada

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Carnival Radiance

I've cruised on Carnival Radiance 3 times so far and each time it meets basic standards. The drink package is always a must and i love having a cabin on deck 6 bringing you close to the entertainment. I made the mistake of picking a cabin in the rear of the ship and on the last day at sea it was super rocky and i got a little seasick but that was my fault. The ship is a little outdated, but it is ...

4 Day Baja Mexico from Long Beach

This was a little pre-holiday getaway on the Carnival Radiance. I wasn't expecting much, but it was better than I expected. That said, there were some good and some bad. I'll try to leave a comprehensive review. The itinerary: Just meh. Catalina was the highlight of the two ports. It looks very Mediterranean from the ship. Ensenada was less than picturesque. Neither offers much in the ...

Pros and Cons

We recently moved to Arizona and are taking advantage of cruises out of Long Beach CA since we can drive. We did a week long cruise Super Bowl week this year (Mexican Riviera) that was awesome so tried a shorter cruise to Catalina island and Ensenada. Carnival was running a good deal with a $500 credit so we chose an oceanview room on level 2 that was $499 before taxes and fees. It’s our first ...

Simple and cheap

This is the simplest ship I’ve been on and I think this was my 23rd cruise. Very little artwork, cutbacks on everything. It was the Motel 6 of cruise ships. On a positive note, people seemed to be enjoying themselves and I love visiting Catalina Island. The spa was nice and I had a great massage. If you like spa treatments and get offered the spa cabins on deck 11, I recommend the upgrade. ...
