1. The crew were fantastic, Rai looked after our cabin really well and kept it nice and clean, Deck 9 Marian and Sukra were awesome, Marian was always flat out cleaning up and Sukra was very attentive in brining me drinks. 2. Cabin was a bit squishy in 1132 and hard for my mother to access with a disability and the wheel chair didn't fit. 3. The ship was beautiful. 4. The food on deck 9 ...

A lot of added costs!

Review for Carnival Spirit to Australia & New Zealand

Be prepared to cough up a lot of extra money! Everything’s got an extra price on it. Photos are an unbelievable price! Average $20-30 each printed picture of about 5x7 or 8x10. And there are ALOT of pictures being taken- photographers are everywhere trying to pump this money making machine... whilst also talking you that you can’t take photos with your own phone of your family/child with the ...

Just About the Same Old Same Old

CARNIVAL SPIRIT embodies CARNIVAL’S value for money and family themes. WATER SLIDES and SPLASH POOLS plus TWIN FAMILY SWIM POOLS appeal to the young (and not so – at 73 I can’t resist the high GREEN THUNDER SLIDE nor the 24hour soft serve machines). Dining rooms my 3 previous cruises saw food vary from good to overcooked. Wait-staff usually great – only one guy hopeless. Highlight: the nightly ...

Bucket list MUST

We cruised to Melbourne to tick another bucket list. Carnival Spirit was great. We partied and had a great time. Between the band The Manila Boys and Donnie the music was fantastic. You dances every night. The violin players were amazing and added the touch of elegance. High tea is a must and the trivia games keep you alert. The fellow guests were all there to have fun and the crew could not be ...

Meet & Mingle on Carnival Spirit

I must say from the outset that we had sail on the Spirit on about 5 or 6 other occasions. It was disappointing to see the cost cutting that has taken place and onboard price rises for beer, wine and other things. The shows over the ten nights were ok but it looks like guest artists have now gone by the wayside. The MDR menu seems to have also down sized, the meal services was also slow and ...

A BEAUTIFUL FAMILY HOLIDAY

Review for Carnival Spirit to South Pacific

This was our first cruise ever and first real family holiday. My husband and I walked randomly into a travel agent's office one day just playing the idea in our head for a family holiday and within two days, had booked the cruise. We have 4 children, aged 13, 11, 8 and 4. To be honest, I was a little nervous about a cruise vacation. But we are now hooked. We've caught the cruising bug and can't ...

Everything from the staff and crew, accommodation, food, entertainment, shore excursions, embarking and debarkation, was awesome. Our first cruise and there wasn't one thing we weren't over the moon about. Our cabin was totally beyond our expectations. So much room, a whirlpool spa in the our ensuite, double sinks, all spotless. Dressing room, private balcony with plenty of furniture, such a ...

We chose this cruise to relax, have fun and make lasting memories for our family. We succeeded! It was truly an amazing, pampering experience. To not have to think about cooking, house work, food shopping was a blessing. The embarkation and disembarkation was very well organised and smooth. Every staff member from booking the holiday to the cabin crew, waiters and cleaners were very ...

Full on Kids cruise (was not school holidays either)

Cruise number 14 for us, a quick last minute (3 days prior to sailing) booking on a 4 day cruise to Moreton Island. Price was better than land accommodation for the same time period. Have sailed once before on the Spirit on its first Sydney season and some things have changed most obviously that the ship is definitely now geared for families. Have never seen so many kids on a cruise ship and was ...
