Nice Family Vacations. It was our first 7 days cruise. We are from Orlando so we arrive to Tampa Saturday 12 and we stay in a Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites Largo- Clearwater. The hotel is just 2 years old is in excellent conditions, extremely clean and very quiet. Is just 5 minutes from Clearwater, beautiful beach Must Visit!! we went to the Sunset at Pier60; it's a family event features ...

Surprised my husband with aft vista suite with wraparound balcony, which was definitely worth it. We sailed on Star Princess last spring and while husband liked that cruise, he loves Carnival. While we greatly enjoyed this cruise on Legend, it was a very different group of fellow cruisers compared to our 5/10 cruise on Legend. Last cruise it was all couples and very few children, if any, and ...

Carnival Legend - a great vacation

We took the Carbival Legend out of Tampa in May and had a wonderful vacation. We paid extra for the aft cabin with the wrap around balcony and it is very very worth it. We had 270 degree views and never found ourselves fighting for beach chairs on the main decks. Every night we were on the balcony watching the sunset and cracking a bottle of wine with some cheese... Here are our tips when taking ...

My son and I set sail on May 24th aboard the Carnival Paradise. He is 12, with what promised to be a great trip. The water slide and the Circle C were particularly enticing to him. I was looking forward to relaxing pool side and meeting some great new people. This was not our first cruise however it was our first with Carnival. We left the Port of Tampa late, but that was fine. Once we ...

My fiancee and I loved this 7 nights cruise. It was his first on carnival and my third. Food was always great in the main dining room for dinner and breakfast and lunch buffet did not disappoint us neither. All the staff was always very attentive. We dined on " your time dining" as we prefer eating when we are hungry and not at a set time. We learned after the first night we could request a ...

GREAT SNORKELING AT PORTS ON THIS CRUISE

Background: Myself and DH (early 60s). First Carnival cruise - several RCL, Celebrity, and Azamara cruises. Cruise only for the ports, not for the ship. The only reason we vacation in the Caribbean is to snorkel. Mostly take land vacations but use cruises as a way to see places to which we have never been and check them out for future land/snorkel vacations. Selected this cruise solely ...

A Grand Ol' Ship

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Carnival Legend

Appearance of the Legend receives 5 stars from me. I would describe it as a "grand ol' ship" with lots of interior embellishments. Although the Legend interior is older, it's like an old polished penny and it is very well maintained, very clean. I saw lots of glitz and glam throughout, but it's just a fun place to be on a vacation. I've been on four Carnival ships and the Legend, by far, is ...

I think we had bed bugs in V36. Itchy red bumps started on third night.I am going to call Carnival today. My one son and I both had them my other son on the trundle did not. Which make sense. Ugh. Overall was very happy with the ship/cruise. Food - tablemates who had cruised on the Sensation said that the food on the Sensation was good but the Paradise was OK. I thought it was good. ...

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Legend

The Carnival Legend - Upon getting into our room, the bathroom was FILTHY. Had someone else's hair all over the shelves. The toilet seat was WET and the shower had an odd smell. The bathroom sink made gurgling noises for the entire seven day cruise. Yes, gurgling. Horrible sound. I had paid for an extended stateroom, but because of some Carnival.com glitch, I ended up with a regular ...

Preface: Last year we did the same itinerary on the Carnival Inspiration twice. We enjoyed the two days at sea and Cozumel. When the Inspiration was in Tampa, the locals made it very popular ship. When I heard they were swapping the Inspiration with the Paradise, there was a of bit concern and that was Tampa getting the bad side of the trade. Review: We arrive at the port around 11 am. We ...
