Great Cruise

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Norwegian Sky

Took this cruise because of the itinerary, 14 days and 14 ports. Was a bit disappointed as 2 ports were changed. However from when I reached the NCL Hotel to getting back to Santo Domingo Airport I was not disappointed. Every one from guests to crew were very friendly. Hotel: Falcon Suites, only stayed for 6 hours, what a luxury. No information given by NCL about pick up time to port had to ...

Worst NCL ship I have ever been on.

I am platinum on my way to Sapphire with NCL. I'm also travel agent. This ship is the worst I have ever been on. If you have mobility issues, and need to use a wheelchair or a scooter and are traveling alone this ship is NOT for you. The bathrooms that are labeled as handicap accessible do not have any automatic door openers. Nor do many of the decks, with the exception of deck 11. Beside the ...

Broke away from the breakaway class ships and loved it.

Our first NCL cruise was on spirit (amazing cruise) but all bigger ships since. Didn’t think we’d go back to a small older ship till we saw this itinerary. 13 Caribbean islands on a 14 day cruise, no sea days, leaving from Dominican Republic. Took a few days to adjust to the layout and know our way around. Bliss lounge took the place of the atrium and we loved it. Much more seating but ...

Some things should be of vital importance to enjoy this cruise, but no help at all

Ths cruise was a 14 day Caribbean cruise that visited a different island every day. The itinerariy was fine, but two major things prevented being able to give a good review, which I always had done before on all of our past cruises. The first was that they should NEVER sell a cruise with three adults in those tiny basic rooms. We could have made do with two people, but three were an ...

Don't like to complain, but in this case, I will make an exception.

We chose this cruise because a group of friends were going and we liked the destination itinerary. Right from the start there were communication issues... the Costa app didn't work for anyone with a US phone. Everyday we were told the app would be working the next day. The only day it worked was our last day in port when we were disembarking the ship. Outside our cabin, we were supposed ...

Great new itinerary

This is a new cruise that Norwegian is testing. Starts in Dominica Republic, goes to 14 islands in 14 days, southern swinging up eastern back to Dominica Republic. It’s on the Norwegian Sky. Older, smaller ship but refurbished a few years ago. Because it’s a smaller ship, able to get into smaller islands. Only one tender to a private island. Lots of beaches, lots of cultural experiences and some ...

Chose this busy 14 day, 14 port cruise out of Dominican Republic for a great itinerary. We sailed this ship on our 1st ever cruise in 2003 when we still had kids. The ship is now the oldest NCL ship I believe and one of the smallest. We sailed out of La Romana after flying into Punta Cana on Superbowl weekend. The port: La Romana is a nice port with plenty to do. Unfortunately, the D.R. is ...

I am a diamond traveler within the NCL system and I was on cruises for about 14 weeks in 2023. I traveled to the Dominican Republic on January 29 to board the NCL Sky to enjoy a 14 day cruise in the Southern Caribbean. The itinerary for this cruise looked fantastic and we were very eager to go. The ports that we have visited so far have been very enjoyable and the crew is very nice. The ...

Several years ago I had a fabulous cruise with Costa (a few wrong things for me) but fabulous. I had not heard from them for ages and suddenly I got this offer and it was amazing. I was not even thinking of cruises at the time. It began in La Romana and ended in Sevona Italy....7 fabulous stops...though I only got off once where the town was right in front of the ship. I have mobility problems ...

All of the staff spoke great English and we never had any problems with communication. They were also kind and patient to all of the guests. The entertainment was plentiful. There was always something going on. We especially enjoyed the evening shows in the theater. There was gym available on the ship, but we found that on cruising day it was too accommodate everyone that wanted to use ...
