Pleasant voyage on Celebrity Edge

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Celebrity Edge

We were very excited to try the new Edge class ship. We found some aspects to exceed our expectations and a few to fall short. Our primary disappointment's were with the Thermal suite and the optional complimentary evening dining venues . The thermal suite area was very noisy and not relaxing at all. The climate showers are not private. Being a coed environment is not favorable. Complimentary ...

Extremely disappointing - nice ship but everything else left much to be desired

The Edge is a beautiful ship but I find the 11 night ABC island cruise to be very disappointing for a number of reasons: first, the food in the Oceanview Cafe was substandard, there was not alot of choice and the menus for breakfast and lunch remained the same for all 12 days. Further, not once were there cuts of roast beef set out for lunch. The 4 "free" restaurants are quite frankly, a ...

My husband and I were celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary. We normally do Royal Caribbean but thought we would try Celebrity for a more "adult" experience. We are 55 years old and normally like a lot of action/things to do on a ship. We really liked the Celebrity Edge! We did the Ultimate Southern Caribbean (10 nights) the end of February 2023, and loved the itinerary! The main pool ...

We booked this cruise because it stopped in Antigua where my family lived in the early 1960's. This was my 8th cruise on Celebrity, but my first in 20+ years. My mother was a smoker and felt that Celebrity was anti-smoking so we migrated to other cruise lines. This was my 80th cruise overall. Both my spouse and I enjoyed the cruise and would book Celebrity again. Fixed Dinner Sittings. There ...

We were in the Retreat with a Sky Suite. The cabin attendant and butler were outstanding. They knew our schedule and the cabin was clean and refreshed upon our return every day and night without fail. They couldn't do enough for us. Our experience in the Luminae was terrific. The waiter, assistant and sommelier were engaging and attentive to our every needs. There was a good choice of ...

Basically fine but won't sail Edge class ship again

We'd sailed before on Celebrity Summit, once pre-Covid and once post-Covid, and had a great experience both times. Chose this cruise to see some ports we hadn't seen before and to check out the Edge. Fort Lauderdale was a great place to leave from - plenty of places to stay in close proximity to the port and embarkation was fast and simple. Positives - There are some beautiful public areas on ...

Picked this cruise for the interesting itinerary. This is our 12th cruise but never been on Celebrity. Was very disappointed by the main dinning rooms(s)food. Worst food by far in main dinning rooms I’ve ever had. Breakfast buffet was good. Lunch buffet was excellent. So one night for dinner since we were not impressed by the main dinning rooms we thought we’d hit the buffet for dinner. Well that ...

Great cruise with Captain Tasos and his crew/ship

We chose this for the itinerary at first. Stayed in a Sky Suite which we loved. This was the newest ship we've been on so there were a lot of differences. The ship is beautiful and clean. The food was fabulous. The entertainment was top-notch and the Captain was very visible and had a superb sense of humor! We did miss some of the things that the older ships have such as shops that don't ...

First Time on the Edge

We love Celebrity. The Edge is a visually beautiful ship, clean and new with a great crew. Captain Tasos is very involved with many announcements and playing Liars Club in the theater. Unfortunately, the ship is not designed for a comfortable cruise. There is little to no shade on the main deck and if this is important to you it will be a problem. We were in a Celebrity Suite in the Retreat. They ...
