Thanks to Covid restrictions and other family travels, this was our first cruise in nearly 5 years. We had cruised twice before on Equinox and were a little concerned that the ship might have changed considerably. However, we needn't have worried as everything was more or less as we remembered it! Our only gripe was that most of our favourite, and quiet (!), sunbathing spots were now reserved ...
Thanks to my fellow cruise critics for your Equinox reviews. They are spot on. Everything about this ship is just a little better than most. We thought our experience was a good value and would recommend it..
We are senior travelers. The ship provided everything we wanted from a cruise. All of the public areas have a large and luxurious feel to them. The elevators are well planned and ...
Six seniors, 72 and up, 4 from Phoenix, 2 from Washington felt this sailing took us to new Caribbean ports. We normally prefer Celebrity and this ship was well rated, good sail date for our needs with reasonable pricing. Two couples in inside cabins and one in a balcony.
PRE BOARDING: We flew in the day before, a Sunday and all stayed at Residence Inn on Anglers in Dania Beach. The provided ...
We had a wonderful cruise to the southern Caribbean. We usually sail on Princess, but this ship had a great itinerary and a good price. This ship is going into dry dock and our balcony showed signs of wear. There was lots of rust , but maintenance came and painted it to give it a better look. The paint smell was a little overpowering. The food was delicious and escargot, shrimp cocktail, and ...
Embarkation was confusing but prompt. (The ship was full.) The crowd was almost all over 55. I think we saw 8 kids - all under 6. Our bags were in our room quickly. The online safety checkin was quick.
Our room was more spacious that I expected. The shower was nice sized. The balcony easily accommodated the two of us. Adequate drawer and closet space.
Getting power to our CPAPs was ...
We are a retired couple from Florida and have cruised many times. The itinerary was great in the southern Caribbean: Antigua, Barbados, St. Lucia, Martinique, and St. Kitts. The ship was very tired and worn out with lots of visible rust, weathered wood, stained cushions, ripped chairs, and many other damages noticeable. The food in the main dining room was very good, but the options were ...
We have been on over 20 Celebrity cruises and have attained Elite Plus status. This was our eight time on the Equinox (visiting the same ports we've visited for years), but the first time in 5 years. We were on a back to back (19 days at sea), so the review includes our experiences on the 9 Night Aruba, Curacao & Cayman Cruise. Below I outline what we found to be the good, the not-so-good and ...
Charges to my credit card do not match what was online on the ship.
Further, we ran into the couple who dined with us on the ship at the airport and found out that they had the norovirus during the cruise and were allowed to come to dinner. On last few days both my husband and I were feeling under the weather and I came home sick with the flu or something. This was irresponsible of the cruise ...
The terrible experience for us was the boarding. Coming from Europe we needed the Esta Permit which we got online. While we had no problem getting into the USA we had problems to get onto the ship. Nowhere does Celebrity state that you have to bring the Esta in print or show it on your handy. As ours was applied for quite a while ago I had problems retrieving ours, took 45 minutes and was a very ...
I have been on several cruises, mostly with Royal Caribbean but one prior Celebrity cruise eight years ago. The difference between that pervious Celebrity cruise and this one is noteworthy.
This sailing left from Port Everglades, logistics and parking were typical and if you filled out all the documents and requests prior to embarkation day, it’s extremely quick. It’s worth the time to submit ...
