After having been on 10+ cruises, some parts of the Celebrity Edge are among the best and some are among the worst.
Let’s start with the positives.
Eden: This restaurant is gorgeous, the menu is creative, the views (looking through all glasses windows of the aft) are immaculate and the cocktails are straight from a luxury NYC cocktail bar. The food was the best in on the ship
The ...
We chose this cruise, knowing Celebrity from previous cruises and because of the itinerary . It was not Celebrity at its best, but close behind.
Highlights were Kusadasi (Efesos) and Hydra. Low were Santorini. You have one low capacity cablecar to get up /down to/from the town. With 3 cruise ships at the same time it resulted in long waiting times, up to 3 hours.
The ship could do with a ...
... there was Modern Luxury!
I confess that Celebrity is my favourite cruise line. And again I had a very enjoyable time onboard the Celebrity Beyond. I love the EDGE class ships (the new balconies are not for me but there are other possibilities). The crew was fantastic. Loved my Sunset Veranda. The food in the MDR was fine. Without a reservation I never had to wait for a table. Ok, the pasta ...
We booked this cruise over a year before sailing and were a little sceptical as we had only cruised Celebrity once before and that was on Silhouette for a 4 night trip from Southampton.
Departing from Ravenna makes things a little more complicated, but we had an amazing few days in Bologna before we caught the train to Ravenna. A few days before flying out we booked the shuttle from Ravenna ...
We decided post pandemic to get cruising again, and a 7 Night adventure in the Adriatic and Greek Islands sounded fine for us. It was over 15 years ago since we had sailed with Celebrity ( to the Carribean ), so we booked through IGLU travel, and their sevice has been fantastic. Firstly, all the planning by them has gone like a dream. We got a deal on Aqua Class and an all inclusive standard ...
The servers at dinner were very accommodating. The bartenders mostly made you wait unless you had money in hand it to show you were tipping. The dining room food was good and the servers especially Prosecco our waiter in the Trellis dining room.
Warning to all passengers!!!! Don’t eat any sushi or lobster soup! I along with other guests got food poisoning on lobster soup in the Sushie ...
My husband and I have been cruising for many years, most recently on the smaller cruise lines. We decided to try Celebrity Beyond having cruised with Celebrity several times, (Elite members), but we were very disappointed.
I loved the ship when we initially boarded, but as the cruise went on somehow it just didn't work.
You could not fault the crew, they were lovely and friendly and ...
Went on reflection last year so wanted to try their newest ship.
The new ship is stunning and very similar to Edge, only slightly larger.
Biggest difference appeared to be the sunset bar. Its stunning.
Great pool deck, plenty of available sun beds, great bars, entertainment if you wanted it.
Entertaimet generally was superb.
Food is amazing. 4 dining restaurants to choose from. ...
The Celebrity Beyond is a beautiful ship. It has all the latest technology with lots of little hidden areas. Eden is probably the best kept secret on board. Make sure to visit it for lunch (free) and dinner (charge). Personnel on ship is also great. My only three complaints are:
1. Our room smelled musty/damp. Unfortunately, housekeeping was not able to fix the issue. They replaced the ...
My mother dreamed of visiting the Greek Islands because of its beauty. When my dad was looking for our Summer 2023 Europe vacation, we stumbled upon a cruise with a great itinerary on the newest ship in the Celebrity fleet, the Celebrity Beyond. It was an 11-night Italy, Greek Islands, & Turkey cruise that departed from Civitavecchia, Italy, calling in Catania (Eastern Sicily), Santorini, ...
