This was a cruise with 3 ladies, myself 67 and with mobility issues, my daughter 41 and granddaughter just 5 with definitely NO mobility issues. I flew down to Southampton from Manchester as I could go wheel chair assist and this was a vast help. I can not fault the assistance I received both on the way to and from Southampton. My daughter lives in Cardiff and she drove to Southampton and met ...
Celebrity Eclipse
I have been writing bits and pieces of this review while on board the Eclipse so please bear this in mind
22nd Embarkation
We embarked at Southampton. We paid for ABP parking. Service was excellent with no waiting around. The only problem they should warn you about is that they are not allowed to taken anything with hooks so my two suit hangers had to be carried aboard ...
Day 1 – Arrived at Southampton City Terminal at 10.30am, parked car & luggage was taken from us at the car and we then walked across the road into the Terminal. This was our first cruise as ‘Elite’ level in Captains Club & we were directed to a Priority Check in desk and then straight onto the Ship all within 15 mins !
Greeted onboard with a glass of champagne or orange juice, we then ...
My partner and I sailed on the Eclipse for the 14 day Iceland and Norwegian Fjords Cruise departing from Southampton. Being based in London, the trip to Southampton was very straight forward for us and we walked the approximately 15 minutes to the dock with our luggage. We dropped it off about 11:00, but did not board the ship. We made our way back out and explored Southampton.
Once we ...
14 nights to Iceland, Faroe Islands and Norway aboard the Celebrity Eclipse. We're fairly experienced cruisers and familiar with Celebrity from other ships. Eclipse is the best so far for friendliness and satisfaction.
We had a cabin in Aquaclass, and really appreciated the differences from Concierge class. Our steward and assistant were lovely, and couldn't do enough to help. The Blu ...
My favourite cruise ship, very spacious, light and airy. Love the grass deck but on this cruise the weather was so terrible that we only went there once! The indoor adults only pool and sundeck was superb, relaxing and quiet - except for the constant background musak. I asked for it to be turned down and was always obliged. the buffet lunch in this area was excellent. We upgraded to Concierge ...
I can only say well done Celebrity Eclipse.
This cruise was excellent especially regarding the destinations, the fact that the weather was not kind to us did not detract in any way to the wonderful experience of each port
The ship is fantastic, the comfort of the cabins great although more hanging space would be most welcome
The service provided by 99 percent of the staff was fantastic, ...
This was our second cruise with Celebrity, having previously sailed the Equinox a couple of years ago.
Embarking in Southampton, we noticed a significantly higher number of older passengers than with other cruiselines. Accessibility for disabled passengers (who were numerous), appears to be good, and the staff were highly efficient in providing assistance where required. In terms of the ...
We are back from the Eclipse and the Arctic Circle ..what a great trip. The Eclipse was a very well run and friendly S class ship, food was excellent with many Brit favourites inc. liver and onions. The cabins were kept pristine and service aboard was excellent. CD Eddie presented a selection refreshingly new shows. The itinerary was the most interesting aspect of the cruise but warm and ...
Great itinerary for a 7 day cruise. Embarkation was efficient at Southampton and got underway early (so much for a planned sail away get together - turned into a Southampton in the distance drink). All planned ports were visited and on time. Geiranger was stunning and worth getting up early for.
Stateroom was well located, clean and quiet. Some of bedlinen had seen better days with holes in ...
