We chose this Alaska Cruise to celebrate a birthday, 10 adults. The itinerary was really good. My complaints about this ship is mainly 2 things.

Alaska was never a destination I wanted to cruise however my family wanted to. so away we go. This cruise left from Seattle, which was a let down as a city, lots of homeless on the streets, didn't feel safe and very expensive, hotel over $300 a night and we stayed near airport, city hotels much more expensive.

This is the 3rd cruise to Alaska on the Celebrity Line. 1st one was on the Century, 2nd on the Infinity and this one on the Solstice. The best of them was the Century. Truly an elegant ship. This was our 3rd sailing with Celebrity.
Don't get me wrong, Alaska was AMAZING. The passage thru Endecott fjord and the Dawes glacier was a true Experience. The ship got very close to the glacier and Captain Tasos made sure everyone got a good view from their balcony, regardless what side of the ship you were on.

We were in concierge class and for the first time in 9 cruises I can say our room steward was not up to par. The pros, clean ship. Staff constantly cleaning and organizing public area bathrooms very nice and clean. Captain Tasso is cool and safe and the crew does a great job navigating and keeping us safe.
