Weather not great but Cruise was wonderful

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Celebrity Solstice

From the moment we boarded the Solstice until the day we departed, the crew of the Solstice gave us an exceptional cruising experience. Yes, as some people have said, the interior of the ship is dated and she is ready for her retrofitting to a Retreat vessel. But hat being said, some older furniture and a few carpet stains could not ruin our voyage. We ate in Luminae as we stayed in a Suite, ...

We decided to splurge on the Retreat with a Sky Suite and Luminae Restaurant. Worth every dollar, Premium Beverage Package enables you to choose from plenty of wbtg and spirits, beers. Host Service in suite and Housekeeping was outstanding. I even had a personalized cake waiting in our suite with rose petals! Luminae staff was Four Seasons level, hostess Roxana, Somm Angga and Server Aaron ...

After a miserable boarding process, the week's cruise was just great!

Don't get waylaid: Celebrity boards their ships from Pier 91, not Pier 66 (used by Norwegian and Oceana Cruises). We were not clearly given this info. The two locations are miles apart. Unless you specify, a taxi/Lyft/Uber will take you to the original "cruise ship terminal" which is pier 66. There is no shuttle from there to the correct pier 91. When we finally reached the correct pier, another ...

First, My husband and I have taken 33 cruises in the last 17 years. So we did miss cruising. We chose an Alaskan cruise because we felt that Alaska wanted cruisers to return and would try to make sure the approved cruises did take place. We chose the Celebrity as we purchased it at a reduced price. We booked our flights through Celebrity, which to my surprise, saved us $300.00. We did fly ...

Alaska on the Millennium

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Celebrity Millennium

The ship holds 2218 passengers and we had only 639 or 29% occupancy. It was so nice to move about the ship at ease, almost never had to wait for anything. We dined in Blu, MDR, Tuscan Grill, La Petite Chef, and Ocean View Café (the buffet). 75% of the food was outstanding, 15% was good, 5% ok and 5% bad. We really didn't care for La Petite Chef, the show was interesting, but if you see it ...

It is great being able to cruise again

This was our first cruise since the Pandemic hit. The Millennium was revolutionized since we were last on board and the ship is absolutely beautiful. We were in a Celebrity Suite. We choose the larger suites in order to have a separate bedroom, but are not in love with the Celebrity Suites. It has a small balcony and a large whirlpool tub/shower in the small interior bathroom. The tub is very ...

Celebrity is our favorite line and Alaska one of our favorite destinations. Here is my ramblings and thoughts on a fabulous week. The highlight was definitely just being back on board with these hard-working happy crewmembers and then being able to see the northern lights which I’ve been waiting for my entire life. Celebrity 7 Night Alaska Dawes Glacier Cruise sailing on 08/27/2021 We were ...

Well it was nice to get back to cruising, The Millennium was wonderful. We have been on the Equinox, Reflection, Mercury and Century before but not on this class of ship. Being we were only at 50% cruisers it was easy to get around to all the venues. All of the staff were fantastic. All the staff were wearing masks. Food of course with celebrity is very good. Shows were exceptional. We missed ...

We had 6 couples on our cruise to Alaska. This had been planned for two years, cancelled twice and had 3 ship changes. So it was exciting to be back on board. With a capacity of 2200 passengers, we only had 850 onboard and over 700 crew. We got spoiled with this ratio. Everyone of the crew was so excited to be there and they could not do enough for us. The waitstaff, the coffee bar attendants, the ...

Covid was never a concern and this was truly a "luxury" cruise. If going to Alaska, Celebrity should be your #1 Choice!

We chose Celebrity to Alaska because they required 95% of passengers to be completely vaccinated as well as the crew to be 100% fully vaccinated. Most cruise lines to Alaska do not require that the crew be 100% vaccinated. In fact, most cruise lines only say they comply with CDC guidelines with no specific details such as what Celebrity details on their website. Two weeks before departure ...
