After months of planning and anticipation, four of us (two couples), flew to Copenhagen for a 16 day transatlantic cruse through the north Atlantic. We chose the cruise because of the itinerary which included no more than 2 sea days in a row. We decided to fly into Copenhagen, two days early so we could explore Copenhagen. We chose to use Princess transfers and hotels. Our hotel was the Kong ...

Emerald Princess Transatlantic - minus of couple of ports

We love Princess, so will write nothing negative about this cruise. We were to have had ports in Greenland and Iceland, but both had to be cancelled due to extremely bad weather. We totally understood the captain's decison and felt he made the right call. We also missed Belfast, Ireland, again due to bad weather. Cobh, Ireland replaced Belfast and it was a wonderful port. There were 6 days at sea ...

First Time Cruiser • Age 80s

My sister's & my first cruise on Princess was this past April to Hawaii on the Golden Princess and I crucified Princess on Cruise Critic. After that cruise I swore I would never sail Princess again but we had already booked another cruise with Princess on the Emerald Princess and would have cancelled it if it were not that we had already paid for the cruise and the air and we would have lost a ...

We began our cruise in Copenhagen. Because of our early flight arrival, we had to sit in the cruise terminal for about four hours. This was a situation that could not be avoided, so I cannot complain. People were very chatty, which kept me from napping in the terminal, but then again, I had some interesting, if bleary-eyed, conversations. We also had tea, coffee, and ice water provided by ...

Transatlantic Crossing on Emerald Princess

The Emerald Princess is a LOVELY ship of the Princess Line. Fresh colors and great layout. Embarkation was a breeze; very organized at handling large numbers of passengers-remained throughout the sail. Despite very rough conditions, the thrusters kept the ship relatively even for most of the time. Only those on very high floors felt the motion adversely. Entertainment was very good and diverse. ...

The ship is wonderful and well taken care of. Food was excellent throughout although it was repeated in the buffet often and got a little boring, it was still very good. The age of the average guest on this cruise was 70-- and boy can those guys push and shove. Lots of handicapped people, including my husband! The crew and staff are well equipped for that population and were nice and smiling and ...

This was a great cruise, starting in Copenhagen and ending in Ft. Lauderdale. Embarkation went quickly. Our cabin steward was very friendly and efficient. Always had our room cleaned before we returned from our breakfast and morning activities. I used the fitness room every sea day and there were several people using the machines, but was never crowded and I did not ever have to wait to use a ...

PRECRUISE We flew to Copenhagen and spent several relaxing days enjoying the city. We stayed at the Marriott which is only a short taxi ride to the cruise terminal. WEATHER The weather deserves special mention. Anyone who signs up for a northern transatlantic crossing in September should not expect a tropical paradise. We had many days of rough seas and missed one port which is not ...

It was a wonderful cruise, the worst we ever had was funderful! The food was mediocre at best, we have been looking to change from NCL for a while, but we can say for certain it will not be changing to Princess... Disney is for the little kids and their moms and dads, Carnival is for the young folks and the party set, and Princess is for the senior adults. I mean really, a whell chair ...

Our first cruise on Princess was an overall wonderful experience but it did not get off to a good start. IcelandAir lost misplaced my luggage and didn't feed us to se arrived at the Embarkation area a few minuts before it opened at 8 AM. Coffee, tea and water were provided but nothing else. Note to Princess - when you agree to transfer passenger thate early - do something instead of letting them ...
