Don't bother-terrible ship

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Vision of the Seas

Because 3 of us 4 were diabetics we need to eat at the same time each evening. We were told that our time would be 8:30. Unacceptable to us. We finally had to go to Customer service to get it changed., We spent the first evening eating at the buffet on Deck 9-not good. When we finally got a dining time we found that the food was just barely warm and not that good. We did love being served and our ...

Chose this trip because of itinerary & even though we booked 14 months in advance we weren't able to get outside cabin. In general trip was great. Ports were really nice, with beautiful scenery. We generally travel on Celebrity but really enjoyed & appreciated the crew for their service and helpfulness. We do our own excursions so I cannot assess the ship's excursions, but I will say that ...

Repositioning cruise with a great itinerary

We chose this cruise for the wonderful itinerary. Our 4 day stay in Copenhagen before boarding was great and we would love to go there again. Tip for visitors: museums are closed on Mondays. Getting on the ship was an ordeal with lines snaking out the doors and people jumping lines and long waits of over an hour to check in. The ship is lovely, well maintained and crew really worked hard to ...

We chose the cruise because of the great destinations and cruise price. The ports of call and total price did not disappoint. We were very fortunate to interact with outstanding staff throughout the ship. We started in Copenhagen and on to Norway, Scotland, Iceland, Newfoundland and landed in New Jersey. The embarkation in Denmark was very smooth and disembarkation in NJ was easier that ...

Excellent Service on the Vision of the Seas!

We were concerned that the Vision would be so small that we would be bored to tears on a 16 nt cruise, but we were happily surprised. Hubby missed an indoor movie theater and a basketball court, but we enjoyed how easy it was to navigate the ship. There were 700+ Diamond and above cruisers on this trip, so the "Some Enchanted Evening" Lounge was used for free drinks/snacks in the evening. Plenty ...

We chose this cruise for the amazing itinerary. It was an advertised cruise through a local travel agency, and we had never used an agency before, nor had we cruised with this line before. We were happily surprised with the cleanliness of the Vision of the Seas, the pleasant crew members and the meals. The stateroom was quite adequate, however, there was no refrigerator, microwave or coffee pot ...

A fantastic cruise from a person that has done over 200 cruises, This was a great trip, Great cruise director, great Captain, great entertainment and wonderful ports full of nature and sights to see. Pleasantly surprised by all after starting out with "low expectations"

19 friends chose this for its ports and time of year. I always found excellent food in the Windjammer Café and was pleased by the service at our cozy table for 6 in the 6 p.m. dining at Aquarius. We sat in a curved niche under a chandelier facing a big window . Couldn't be better! Signing up through Online Travel we had 'L' interior cabin which I feared would be too small, dated and with a ...

Great ship and itinerary, only a couple issues

Maître d' Katharina provided exceptional customer service. It's good to see someone who so truly cares about making the customer experience exceptional every time. Our Giovanni's experience was ruined by being served items we advised we had allergies to, then being ignored after being served so unable to correct. Divina (bartender in Diamond lounge) was excellent. We had to go to the ...

*Loved the two night stays in Iceland - wish there were more cruises offering this. Not having a deadline really makes for a better vacation experience. *Food in the dinning room was just ok, so we landed out eating at the Windjammer for 14 of our 16 nights. While visiting Iceland, Icelandic yogurt was offered, which offers a wooping 19 grams of protein! Very healthy choice to start your ...
