Top notch luxury and learning adventure

Review for a Arctic Cruise on Viking Jupiter

The Viking experience was wonderful from the booking experience right on through de-embankment. We enjoyed the, knowledgeable and professional crew and staff. The ship was clean, comfortable and fresh. We never had to request a thing; it was there and waiting from clean towels to a fully packed mini bar daily. The dining experiences were varied, delicious and could be tailored and cooked to ...

The ship was amazing. Two pools, gym, putting course, and more. Lots of great places to sit and relax, read a book, or gather with friends. Ship layout was very well done. The food was incredible - many different options. Our stateroom was very, very nice. All of the staff was top-notch. We became friends with many of them! And the destinations were really great! We enjoyed the many things to do ...

First Cruise Ever

My husband chose this cruise as he has always wanted to see the Scandinavian countries. It was a good overview of the cities/towns we visited. There were excellent historical lectures and a great variety of entertainment and things to do onboard between the onshore excursions. The food was also excellent, and the choices many. The ship and number of people were just the right size - eight decks, ...

Weirdest design st sea

1. Deck 8 and 9 on Viking have outdoors areas with rows of sunbeds - but no shade: No sun shades. No awnings. No shadow. 2. The “Pool Deck” is indoors(!) It does have a retractable glass roof but because they rarely retract it, the vast area is hot, humid and smelly most of the time. Uninhabitable. Behind the - indoors - swimming pool is a big, square room with a (permanent) glass roof called ...

My wife and I were interested in getting a taste of Scandinavia and we chose to cruise with Viking because we have had great trips with them in the past. We feel that Viking handles all aspects of the cruise very well. We were not disappointed this time, every thing went well from the time we booked the trip. The embarkation and disembarkation processes were smooth. Once on board we ...

Our Very First Cruise

We've resisted taking a cruise b/c we didn't like the idea of being on a massive floating hotel or amusement park, with thousands disembarking at every port. However, my health and more limited mobility--I use walking sticks for balance and a small mobility scooter otherwise-- forced us to re-evaluate cruises b/c having a 'home base' every night, and unpacking only once for the trip were ...

Happy 55th Anniversary

How cool is this? My husband and I boarded Viking Jupiter on the very day we were celebrating our 55th wedding anniversary. Don't answer yet, because it also was my 55th cruise! Although I had taken 54 other cruises, including four river cruises, the only other Viking we had cruised on was Viking Octantis, an expedition-type ship that has a maximum capacity of under 400 guests. We did a ...

Fantastic food, awesome, clean ship. Great friendly helpful staff. Good well planned included itineraries. Met some wonderful people and made new friends! The sights and sounds of the different places, cities and ports was well worth the money. We enjoyed exploring the ship and all it has to offer! The retractable roof over the pool was a very nice touch! We were able to watch the pilots come on ...

Scenic Scandinavia

We had previously sailed with Viking and liked the atmosphere. Adults only, smaller number of passengers, great Customer Service, no art auctions or casinos, no loud parties on deck, and enjoyable Ports of Call. We also really enjoyed the Thermal Spa, which is included in the prices of the Cruise, and went almost every day. We did spring for 2 massages, which were wonderful and did not include ...

Great Cruise Line

Review for a Arctic Cruise on Viking Jupiter

I love Viking cruises. We have taken both river and ocean cruises and without a doubt, Viking is the best. If you are able to afford it, the owner's suite is about 1,400 square feet and the explorers' suites are about 750 square feet on ocean cruises. Plenty of room to feel at home and spread out. I don't know of any other cruise line that offers that much space. The organization of Viking is ...
