Who goes on Century Cruises cruise ships?

The majority of people on a Century Cruises sailing are from English-speaking countries. They are well-traveled and want to sail the Yangtze in style, while having exposure to local food, customs and culture.

Do I have to dress up on a Century Cruises cruise?

The onboard atmosphere is relaxed, and there is no formal dress code, though a jacket and tie for men and a dress or pantsuit for women is recommended for the captain's cocktail party and farewell banquet. Passengers wear practical clothing in the daytime, with comfortable walking shoes and layers for excursions. In the evening some men do opt to wear a jacket and tie, while some women change into smarter dress, but this is not required.

Is everything free on Century Cruises cruises?

No. While all meals (including both Asian and international dishes), drinking water, most shore excursions, lectures, onboard Chinese cultural activities (tai chi, mah jongg) and entertainment are included, everything else costs extra. This includes additional excursions (on select sailings), gratuities, all soft and alcoholic drinks, Wi-Fi, laundry, spa services and transfers to/from the ship. Cruisers staying in suites receive butler service.

What are Century Cruises’s most popular activities?

Shore excursions to visit sites along the Yangtze River are the main reason people join a Celebrity Cruises sailing, and the most popular of these are trips to the Shibao Pagoda and Three Gorges Dam, and a transit through the dam. Onboard the ships, which are larger than those you'll find on European rivers, cruisers enjoy visiting the beauty salon, reading quietly in the library or jumping into the large indoor swimming pool.
