About Running on Waves Cruises

Running on Waves operates one head-turning vessel of the same name; a three-masted tall ship built in the style of a classic tea clipper.

The 42-passenger ship marks the realisation of the seafaring dream of Russian businessman Ruben Khokhryakov, who comes from an engineering background and set out of build a modern-day vessel to recapture the golden age of sail.

A collaboration between shipyards in Russia, Poland and Germany, with interior designers from Russia, Germany and Greece, the construction process took more than five years. Running on Waves was launched in 2011 and offers seven-night around Greece and other countries in the Mediterranean.

The company has offices in Russia and Cyprus, where Running on Water is moored and refurbished during winter months.
