Saga Cruises Cruiser Reviews

An entertaining trip with an entertaining Captain

Although our cruise choices are by no means exclusively with Saga, we chose this cruise as we have enjoyed several cruises with them in the past and this one particularly suited us having recently had a few health issues to cope with.Adventure had had a pretty bad cruise prior to ours owing to the weather but Captain Kim Tanner was back aboard for this one and proved to be a genial and entertaining host.Read More

Not what we expected

If that is what we wanted two weeks in a five star that's what we would have booked We booked a cruise that is supposed to have destinations! The jury is out on that one and it would have been nice if the captain in his farewell speech had apologised for what want wrong rather than blathering on about two weeks in a five star hotel!Read More

An Accessible Canarian Christmas on Saga’s Spirit of Adventure

As first timers we were not aware of Saga’s early booking system with its large discounts so we ended up paying £17,202 for a deluxe adapted cabin. We lost certain deluxe features: walk in wardrobe, table and 2 easy chairs/ sitting area by having the adapted cabin so ended up sitting/ eating on the bed when we had room service etc.Read More

A cruise of two sections

Saga provide an extremely polished cruise service only let down by the marketing and allowing far to many large electric mobility scooters driving by inexperienced drivers who endanger the welfare of crew and other passengers, on more than one occasion they were reversed out of elevators’ at high speed nearly running waiting folk over , the company should take immediate action to not allow such dangerous vehicles on board , they block walkways and in an emergency would pose severe issues .The bars are well located although when the Britannia lounge was busy service was extremely slow waiting on one occasion over 45 minutes for a couple of drinks , I did mention this in the mid cruise questionnaire and then never waited more than a couple of minutes for the last 7 days .Read More
