Walvis Bay cruises are ideal for nature-lovers, as this African harbor town is home to pristine seaside lagoons where pink flamingos flock. But the pretty resort town, located on the coast of Namibia near the Namib Desert, is known for more than just brightly colored birds: A number of excellent restaurants here serve decadent fresh seafood and French-inspired fare.
There are three distinct wetlands located near Walvis Bay where cruisers can spot masses of flamingos and migratory birds. The area is home to one of the largest flock of flamingos on the continent, and marine life such as dolphins and seals are commonly spotted in the bay.

Walvis Bay is a difficult port to negotiate as the dock is a mile or more from the city center. The town can be easily done on your own. There isn’t a whole lot to see, so I suggest you book a tour to Sandwich Bay.Read More
