WoW! I can't even begin to explain how spectacular our Carnival Cruise vacation was. What an amazing experience we had. Right from the start we encountered a very warm welcome and an amazing greeting from the entire Carnival staff. As food was already prepared, we devoured a Guy's hamburger followed by flutes of champagne to amp up the beginning of an unforgettable cruise. Emma, the irreplaceable cruise director, was the highlight of our trip. With her positive energy and remarkable attention to detail, she didn't miss a blink. Every trip to the guest services line was a breeze. With members such as: Olga, Patricia Zaafar, Maria Guzman, Blib Grabovskyi, and especially a HUGE shout out to Tejesh Arjala for being a true stand up guy. He was there for me and my lady every step of the way, and provided exceptional service throughout the duration of the cruise. Thank you again Tejesh! As far as the Red Frog Rum Bar on the lido deck goes, I want to send a special shout out to Luanea "Lu Lu", Ruki, Shakiron, Sanket, and of course the brilliant bar waiter Mr. Glenford Hemmings. This group made us feel like we were hanging out with family the whole time! To conclude this comment, I want to also send a very special note to our briliant Steward and friend, Mr. Silfredo Nelson for his patience and humble spirit. What a blessing to have been on a ship with such as incredible group of people. Happy 2019 to all, and thank you again for all of your hard work. We will see you soon! - Bye Lovlies :) Read Less

We chose this cruise for New Years getaway. The service and food was not as good as in the past on other ships. The dining staff messed up orders in main dining, some food had no flavor or dry and some things ordered were never served. The staff was not as friendly as on other ships. The dining staff took a couple days to warm up and really get into the fun. Even with some bumps along the way we still enjoyed our vacation. We enjoyed the New Years balloon drop and deck party. The cruise director Emma was very energetic and seemed to really enjoy herself and all the guests. We also enjoyed all the art work and art auctions on board. We learned albeit several new artists . We will be back on Carnival in the future. We will not let 1 not as good cruise stop us from sailing again soon. Read Less

My mom and dad will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary in three days. The only time I could get a large amount of time off work was around Christmas. This was our first cruise so we weren’t certain what to expect. When Carnival says a 7 day cruise, it’s a lie. You’re only on a cruise 6 days. The first day we spent getting up at 2 am, flying to Houston, riding an hour and a half to Galveston, and then there was the whole process of getting on the ship, which took over an hour. From the airport to getting on the ship, no water or anything was available to drink. So of course, you’re very thirsty, and no drink cards work on the first day. They didnt have our rooms ready for about an hour after we got on the ship. When we finally got in our rooms, the alarm went off and it was muster time! Which is everyone lining up on deck and listening to safety instructions. I have no problem with safety instructions, but at least let us rest for a few minutes! I was not impressed with the overall look of the ship. It smelled and reminded me of a casino. The only food that was decent in quality was the dining in the evening. If you have a sweet tooth, bring your own sugar, cause almost everything is sweetened with artificial sweeteners. I think they use real sugar in the dining rooms in the evening. We bought an endless bubbles deal, for soft drinks, but they made it so difficult to get to it, it wasn’t worth it. And they still charge you $2:50 for a can of soda. Premium WiFi is a complete waste of money. It’s so slow, you’d never be able to upload or download anything. Do not go to EXcaret Park. Two people from our group were late, so the boat operator sped back to Freedom. We almost capsized two times. The blender for drinks spilled all over a passenger and broke. People were throwing up in bags everywhere, It took all day Saturday to get off the ship, get back to Houston, and fly home. Read Less
