We have been with Celebrity on numerous occasions in the past, but I think this will be the last. We expected something special especially as it was over Christmas & New Year, and frankly it was mediocre on a number of fronts. Food, Service & Cleanliness could not be faulted. Island Visits were very much as we expected and have experienced before Entertainment & Celebrations for time of year, drab, sub standard and inferior to other ships. The on deck singers sang the same four songs consistently every day, and the on board entertainment team are delusional if they think that the shows are up to Las Vegas & Broadway standards as was suggested by the Cruise Director. An ex singer from Les Miserables, Frankie Valli tribute band & a Mowtown Trio were the only 3 acts who came close to what we have come to expect from other cruise liners including Celebrity. Embarkation was dangerous. High winds blowing luggage carts into customers and injuring them. Luggage loading areas less than four feet from delivery trucks making treacherous for small children. Staff disorganized and non enthusiastic. Food. Average. Even out of ice cream cones four out of 12 days. Croissants nummy days 1, 2 and 12. Stale the rest. Little variety. Main dining just buffet food served table side. Rooms. Run down. No mattress covers or encasements. Good stewards but overworked. Housekeeping. Good until last two days. Deck five wasn’t cleaned even once between 9 am and 9 pm. Smelly ash trays overflowing. Litter piling on tables. Accounting. Misleading at best. Fraud at worst. Five separate accidental mistaken charges. Removed upon asking but told they were special “holiday prices” until they were provided with written or photographs to prove the advertised rates of photo packages, specialty dining charges etc. gave the staff a $75 tip for exceptional service. It was itemized under regular charges and not gratuities so not sure the staff ever actually receive the tips they so desperately need and deserve. Tipped cash directly after day 3. Read Less

We always chose our cruises by itinerary and sometimes by when we want to go. This year we wanted someone else to do all the work for the holidays for us...ergo...a Holiday Cruise to a warm place..the Eastern Caribbean.... We arrived three days early, rented a car a went to Key West. After returning the car at Avis and taking their free shuttle to the ship,we stood in lines for embarkation. Being as there was close to 3000 passengers, embarkation went as well as could be expected. The ship was keep “ship shaped” with only one flaw that I can think of....the automatic doors on the restrooms. I actually got knocked down by one closing on me. The food was really good. We were on the Aqua class and ate at Blu often. The maitra d knew our names and the staff, especially, Maria, were wonderful. One of the waiters on the last night brought me a bowl of steamed vegetables because he realized that I would not have been satisfied with the amount of vegetables that came with the main dish...all of our meals at Blu were exemplary. We also enjoyed the Spa Cafe for breakfast and lunch which offers lighter and healthier food. The MDR was good also, but we only had two dinners there. The specialty restaurants were exceptional, our favorite being Quisine and Morono. We also enjoyed the Tuscan grill and Shushi on Five. All the food was A or A+ except the buffet. We had one really good dinner there, but the lunches were not as good. The food tended to be over cooked and dry..especially the chicken kabobs...don’t even bother. All the people taking care of all the restaurants were wonderful, caring, and friendly. Our cabin worked for us and our cabin stew, David, was the best. Always willing to get us whatever we wanted or needed with a big smile.... Took only two shore excursions sold by the ship. They were O.K. The rest of our tours were booked privately before the cruise which we find to be more of an adventure at a smaller cost. Again, we plan our cruises by itinerary but having said that, this last cruise bumped us up to a new level in the Captains Club....so that may influence our next decision....maybe.... Read Less
