1-10 of 25 Cunard Queen Victoria Cruise Reviews for Gay & Lesbian to World
We have been very pleased with our suite. We were upgraded to a queens grill penthouse. ALTHOUGH WE PROBABLY HAD OVERPAID INITIALLY BECAUSE WE BOOKED WELL IN advance and prices were later reduced!
The catering has been excellent and the staff have been wonderful.
My complaint concerns shore excursions which have been poor. In mauritius we were travelling in a poor quality coach. There was ...
This is the first time we have been on a Cunard ship so we had high expectations. Taking into consideration the ship is on a world cruise the ship is visually in very poor condition externally and this continues to the outside areas once you board the ship. Rust everywhere, ripped and filthy seating In all areas. The inside public areas are in better condition and are well ...
I only have a few observations:
Overall, the staff was genial and helpful
My room steward was excellent, well trained and responsive.
Bar service in the Chartroom was expert, cheerful and well trained; they ran out of my preferred brand. The competence of the Wine Waiters in Britannia was very uneven; some were excellent and others needed more training.I also perceived a shortage of ...
We chose Victoria again as it was going to Rio de Janeiro including a long trip along the Amazon. We started from Southampton and flew back from Rio. The ship carried on finally returning to Southampton. On board all food in the Britannia, Lido and Verandah restaurants was excellent. Staff service in all areas was also excellent. The ship's condition was very good overall and for those yet to ...
The service in the Britannia restaurant was as great as always. But the weather across the Atlantic was dreadful. We were late into Bermuda and Port Canaveral. The Churchill cigar lounge was full of cigarette smokers and resembled the Dog and Duck pub rather than an intimate cigar lounge as it is advertised. Day activities were poor and because of the weather the decks were often closed. ...
This was our first sailing on the Victoria and it really is a most impressive ship . We had booked Balcony Club as we prefer the availability of dining when we choose . Shortly before leaving we upgraded to Princess Grill and considered the larger suite and good sized balcony well worth the extra cost . We were not , however, impressed by the Princess Grill dining room . It is large and ...
We chose this cruise to visit Vietnam and Hong Kong and finish with a stint in Singapore. this segment was 22 days. - we were medically disembarked on day 18.
Please read on to the Cunard Cough
Embarkation was so smooth and took just minutes. The Cabin 8114 was clean, comfortable and the steward wonderful. Dining in the Lido Buffet offered a wide variety of choices of excellent food. ...
× I awarded my cruise of 2017 5 stars no problem
× I struggled to award 3 stars on this cruise, just 2 years later. WHY
Pre embarkation
× met at Brisbane airport by a Princess Cruises representative!
× taken, without P C rep, to a local hotel who had no knowledge of us and were not expecting us
× later driven to Cruise Terminal by an aggressive, unhelpful taxi driver. He even ...
We are in our early 60's and fit and healthy. The Cunard line represented to us elegance, fine dining and an association with the Grand Queens of the Sea.
Though there were some good points to the ship including the Common Areas, the Afternoon Tea, Library and some entertainment, the rest of the experience left a lot to be desired.
We were in Cabin 6123 Starboard with balcony. We were ...
We were on the 21-day crossing of the Pacific from San Francisco to Sydney. We have been on 32 cruises on various lines and have sailed with Cunard many times before. We chose this crossing as a way to get us to our 2-month adventure in Australia.
We were very happy with the transportation, but not too thrilled with the Queen Victoria nor the cruise ship features of this crossing. While we ...
